i dreamt i was back at work in the hospital labor & delivery ward like i used to be, setting up for a chaotic delivery in an improvised room which was where we normally washed our instruments. it was a mess in there. i had to help a doctor who had issues with proper english diction.
Weirder than normal, as some of my other dreams are weird.
That is virtually the same as a certain 70's SNL sketch starring John Belushi. He played a Samurai running an American deli- and he would slice salami with this long sword to make subs.
Creepy.
It's been a while since I stuck on my SNL DVD. Perhaps it's lingered in the back of my sub-conscious for a while.

i dreamed that there was an air show where they had all types of planes including a boeing 707 on display. i dreamed that a reporter from a news station was talking to the captain of the 707 who was standing on the ground near the nose wheel, and then the plane suddenly started to surge forward and it became apparent that a member of the public had taken control of it, and the reporter and the captain scrambled out of the way and the plane took off.
the cameramen were focused very sharply on the plane because it was a very good story, and the plane took off and did a u-turn in the air and flew over head, and the person that stole the plane was seen struggling to close the front door while there was obviously no one in the cockpit, and i thought "i hope the plane comes down in the range of the cameras" and then i went back into dreamless sleep. i was annoyed i did not dream the rest of the dream but life is just a pack of unplayed cards i guess.
I had weird dreams again last night. I dreamt I was in Illinois, looking for houses with my family. We found this house that looked nice on the outside, but on the inside it wasn't what I was looking for, and we didn't feel comfortable there. It was a two bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath with a garage, but it didn't look like it had central air and heating, it smelled like there had been a dog, and looked like robbers had broken in at some point. We ourselves had just walked in the back, since it was completely open. But for some reason, what I liked the least was that there was creepy yellow wallpaper in one of the rooms and cherub statues in the lawn, and my dad kept acting like a jerk, saying I didn't know what to look for in houses.
Then the realtor who was showing the house showed up with a couple, and we didn't expect to see her there, so we ran out so we wouldn't have to talk about the house or turn her down, but she was waving after us. So we tried to get into the car and drive away, when a cat (a literal one) walked up to me and gave me its number, as if it were hitting on me, and so I was like, "Um, Okay. I'll call you later." Then we drove off.
Come to think of it, it seems to me now like that entire dream was a metaphor for dating and stuff, though maybe I'm looking at it wrong.
Then I had a completely different dream where I was back in school again, but I kept flunking certain classes because the work was too hard for me. Then after school, I would go to work in a hospital, and then go back to live in a big dorm building, even though it seemed like the school was more like my high school than a college. Then one day, a man came in to the hospital with a gun, right after there had been a scare at the school/dorms that I had been blamed for, so I shot the man, and he turned out to be a double agent for America and some Communists, kind of like a Manchurian candidate. I had no clue what was going on, but I felt really paranoid and inferior throughout this other dream, and it ended with some weird school assembly where a boy called me a hero, and everyone booed him, so he mooned the audience.

Last night's dream:
My sister and I were at home setting up for an Epilepsy Awareness Month event, involving filming a commercial. Once we were finished setting up, our mother walked in, saw what we were doing, and got so mad that the two of us explained to her what we were doing as best as we could, but it didn't work.
After the three of us argued, the camera crew for filming the commercial arrived. Me and my sister went into the garage to film the commercial with the camera crew. The commercial ends up on TV and YOU-TUBE, where the two of us are given $250,000 each as payment.
If you're an Aspie who lives in the US, and if you've seen a commercial for a non-profit that helps people with Down Syndrome, think of the commercial as that, except with me and my sister.

Last night's dream:
I don't remember much about this one, but this scared me so bad.
I was dreaming that the entire world, wherever I went, saw me as a figure of greatness that I had to keep to my hotel rooms in the countries I went to before leaving. Also, what made this dream so disturbing was I saw something come out of the top of my head and spin around like a tornado, along with hearing the sound of what sounded like a ball bouncing and a voice saying to me; "You have something special in you. You are destined for greatness."
NO, I do not see myself as special, I don't need to be special, and I don't want to be seen as a person who wants to rule the entire damn world!

Just now, I went to bed at 9:30 and woke up at 11:30, and I wanted to write down this dream before I forget it. I was watching an infomercial on tv with my dad, and it was trying to sell a collection of music videos. A song came on that I had never heard before, but in the dream I believed I had heard it before, and I wanted to write it down so I could look it up for practice to sing at karaoke. The song had the lyric "You were the rain in my Aberdeen garden," and I'm still trying to remember the rest of the lyrics, but I asked my dad if he knew what the song was called, and he said it was, "Powerful."
Then I was eating dinner. I had just eaten something, I can't remember what, but it wasn't satisfying, so I was looking around for more food. There was a box with a pizza in it, but there was also a bag with a burger and fries in it. I really want to eat the pizza, because it was Greek pizza with all authentic ingredients and warm and fresh, but I asked my dad what I should eat, and he told me to eat the burger and fries instead, because they were from the day before, and the pizza could be reheated the next day.
Then I was at a bar singing the song from the commercial for karaoke.
Oh man, I've had a ton of bizarre dreams! I once had dream that Robin Williams was selling me french fries from an ice cream truck (not even making that up). Recently, I had a dream where I was falling from the sky into the ocean during a stormy night. There were gigantic sharks in the water, so I was terrified.
The other night (I think it was the night leading to Thursday), I dreamt I was some guy other than myself, who noticed (or perhaps just thought he noticed) an injury on his right arm, while he was walking, outside. Instead of going to the hospital, he went back home to search for a saw, to saw the arm off. I could feel the anxiety he had over doing it, but he felt he just had to do it, so he started sawing it off, about twenty centimetres under his shoulder. As he was sawing, he thought, "soon there is bone". When he was done, he asked himself if he really should've done it, and walked to the hospital, holding his cut off arm with the remaining stump, by pushing it towards his body, and supporting the weight of it with his left hand. On the way to the hospital, he very calmly thinks about eventual nerve damage that will remain, after the operation. In the next scene, he has had the surgery, and lies in a bed, in a mostly yellow room, with his girlfriend on his left side, lying with him, in the bed. He has a bandage where the arm has been reattached, and the operation has been very much a success. His girlfriend is very relieved about that the operation went well, since there are so many things you can't do if you miss an arm. What she particularly is thinking about, at this moment, is sex in the missionary position. The man also is relieved that his life now can go back to normal, soon, after all.

Arm
To see somebody's/your arms as the emphasis in your dream indicate your nurturance side and your ability to reach out and care for people. Alternatively, it may represent the struggles and challenges in your life. Consider the pun "arm yourself" which implies that you need to protect yourself, be more aggressive and take a firmer stance on things or the pun "up in arms" representing anger and your readiness to argue.
To dream that your arm has been injured signifies your inability to care for yourself or your helplessness in reaching out to others. You may have been feeling limited and restricted in terms of your freedom or activities. The right arm signifies your outgoing nature and is associated with masculine energy, while your left arm signifies your supportive or nurturing nature and is associated with feminine qualities. Losing either arm may suggest that you are failing to recognize its respective characteristics.
Amputation
To dream that limbs are amputated signifies abandoned talents and serious, permanent losses. It indicates your feelings of frustration, powerlessness and helplessness. Sometimes amputation may also represent a situation that you have been ignoring and has finally reached a crisis point. In particular, to dream that one's arms are amputated suggests that there is a lack of motivation or confusion about aims/goals. To dream of the amputation of someone else's arms out indicates that you are extremely upset with something that this person has done, but you have not been able to fully express your anger. Because you tend to keep your emotions inside, it is finding expression in your dreams in a violent way.

@_@ That's scary correct (overall, anyway). Wouldn't actually express myself violently, regarding that last part, though. My life ended up in this direction, what feels as permanently, almost two months ago, now. Gave me chills reading it. Would you like to analyze it even more?
i dreamt my 2 front teeth on the top level shrank in size and i chipped them so i only had little jagged stibbs left and i was so embarrassed and i couldnt fix them because medicare doesnt cover dental. they really dont in real life as well which is what must have sparked the dream and im always so worried about my teeth.

sorry but i am no real expert, i just enter search terms at www.dreammoods.com and note what i see there. i can guess that you are of two minds about some key personal situation, in the manner of "do i go or do i stay?"
i had what i considered a humerous dream after i experienced a few disjointed minutes of it.
i dreamed that there was an episode of some TV show like "hoarders", but the subjects in this show were simply very lazy people who dropped their garbage next to their chair and the rubbish spread, and after a few years they are up to their ears in garbage (not stuff they wish to keep, but useless stuff that they feel is too hard to rid themselves of)
i dreamed that someone called the police and said that there was a cd with terrorist material on it in a house full of garbage, and the police collected every item from the house in question, and took it away to be inspected, and the police found nothing, and the occupants of the house effectively had it cleaned for free by the police.
i would have started to laugh but i immediately went back to sleep.
