I think the pilot light went out in my oven. I smell gas a little and it looks out. Smelling gas gives me panic attacks and sometimes makes me feel dizzy. Lately the pilot lights seem low and the burners don't always come on.

I'm like the house gas detector. Any time there is a gas leak in any apartment in the house I'm always the first to smell it.

My mother will be home soon to call the landlord or try to light it. I don't know if we can light this stove ourselves. The pilot is way in the back and we don't have long matches or anything like that.

Also I've been on the waiting list for a new apartment 7 months now and when I got on I was told I'd have to wait 2 months.

There's a keypad lock on the mail room at my apartment complex. It's never been locked until about a week ago. Why are they locking this room? Are they afraid that homeless people will try to move in? And why didn't they bother to tell me or anyone else in the complex that they were going to start locking the door? I only learned the keypad code because I happened to run into someone in front of the mail room who was nice enough to tell it to me. Today I couldn't get in there because the lock stopped working entirely. They fixed it but changed the code, without telling me or anyone else, of course. I found out the new code by calling the office, wrote it on a small piece of paper, and taped it to the front of the door so other people can use it. I suspect that one of the maintenence men will take it down the moment they see it. I'd like to go back in time 50 years and tell people that simply getting your f**king mail in the future will be like Goldfinger breaking into Fort Knox.

Aimless your grandmother sounds like she was a very sweet lady. :)

My grandmother is more than a little bit rough around the edges and I'm embarassed to talk about her. But her mother, my great-grandmother was more like your grandmother except she drank whiskey instead of sherry. That side of my family is Irish and they liked their whiskey. But she was a wonderful woman and I have great memories of her.

My other great grandmother who was Basque was really proper like your grandmother. She had books and paintings from one end of the sitting room to the other. And my mother says she is the one who taught her how to act and do things right. That side of the family were the business owners and they had a little money. I have wonderful memories of her as well. She was a very intelligent woman and probably had a lot in common with your grandmother.

I never knew my grandparents or great grandparents on my father's side.

My other grandmother was the one lacking in social graces. The story goes that when she met her future in-laws for the first time, she commented to my great grandmother that she must be very nice to have married such an ugly man.
8O That must of been a little awkward.

My grandmother says mean things but she means them. That's why no one wants her to visit. So my poor mother is the one who is stuck with her all the time. We believe my mother has Aspergers too. My grandmother takes advantage of her and walks all over her all the time. I hate it.

When I came home from shopping, I saw that the lawn care losers blew tree leaves all over our front porch and didn't pick up the large tree limbs that fell to mow the grass under them. The worthless dolts just mowed around them. And they still haven't raked up all the sticks and smaller tree limbs from Hurricane Irene. I called the office and told them, I will move if this continues.

The manager who is really nice came and took pictures to show her bosses what horrible service we are getting from those fools here. One of the maintenance guys came around and started sweeping the porch and cleaning the window seals. I was actually more concerned with the lawn care than the building because they are killing the grass and leaving this place in a mess to the point where it doesn't look like they were even here.

They were suppose to come back and fix it but I haven't heard them out there so I seriously doubt that they did.

The apartment community across the street has great lawn care guys and their grounds always looks wonderful. This is ridiculous.

I went into Fields to see if they had any large bottles of water. They didn't. They only had 12 and 24 packs of regular water.
