I didn't think dad was blaming us at all. I was angered that he thought I wasn't being honest. I didn't tell you, because you always defend his drinking. I was seething hot on the inside. I don't think Dad even notices the expressions on my face or my lack of eye-contact when he does this to me.

I made it clear I was a friend alone, and cannot be anything else. You forced me to re-open old wounds from childhood in order to appease your immature disbelief that we had 'nothing'.
Dude... I will always be your friend. That. Is. It. So take or leave, dear, because I know you will find this eventually. I hope you will see from this that my being friendly and supportive (still) in person, doesn't actually mean I'm not still very, very pissed off.
