Does the vet advocate vitamin and mineral supplements?

Yes, kraftie, I was giving him vitamines anyway but he wouldn't touch any kind of cat food so he needs now a large amount of calcium and taurine - which, of course, I'm giving him.

I had a full-grown cat like that. Refused cat foot.

It was partially my fault because I let him sample people food.

No people food - only meat with this one

I've made a bit of progress at least, now he'll accept some "posh" brand of cat food that contains the additives he needs but only if I'm feeding him straight from my hand.

BTW, thanks, kraftie, you're doing a lot these days - don't think it goes unnoticed

Your cat looks adorable. (I’ve seen the photos in other threads). My husband hand feeds our kitty the meat portion of her evening meal. When she’s eating her dry food from the dish she likes you to sit in the chair beside her and admire her! She was already ten when we adopted her and trying to find the most suitable food has been difficult. For unknown reasons she throws up quite often.

It's nice that you are really invested in the care of the kitten.

It's a much better prognosis, in my opinion, because the kitten is not so young.

Thank you Anne - I've been I literally mothering him for the last 4 months and now try to use that bond to get him to eat what he needs, he's been in some pain lately and I'm the only one he accepts interacting with.

Edit to answer your question - poor bone development after a growth spurt while not getting the nutrition he needs caused him a significant amount of pain in the last week.

Poor baby. Hope he recovers soon.

1 st day of snow , house heater quit. GAS company came looked said gas was fine call a heater furnace guy.. house was messy felt ashamed. Money was tight today had 2 other appointments.

Had to do a no show on one , after gas man left , thought breifly for a moment albeit quite sad now.
Said gas is working and he said pilot light was on . Figured some control was not getting message to turn on burner . Thermostat was turning on the fan ..! Decided , gas failsafe for waiting for burner to heat before turning on the fan , was either not existant or gotten stupid? Not telling gas valve to send gas to burners . But fan is on ? So inbetween these components that do these things are wires and connectors . That do the communication , so silly me.. wiggles the connectors in a few places ... presto burners are lighting. Had to do this 2X do far, keeping an eye on it in below freezing temps .
Very scarey. NOW . Feeling poorly healthwise. Court case in 4 days.. .. theives for neighbors, not helping . POLICE, seem to be just allowing them free run .. for a very long period of time now. We arrived 10 yrs who not knowing situation . Neighbor woman named Grandma gaslighting us all the way.
Many members of their family in prison.. all of them answering to one , older lady , whom provide consistent. Alibis for them..answers to name of "Grandma." And , we had moved here to escape exact same situation there ,! but when hubby returned where we came from,to get 2nd load of belongings they got him..execution style .
So tonight it just has all caught up to me thanks to stupid furnace connections ...
AAAUUGH..! Wishes , could be one with the ether that is nonexistance this evening.
Never hated halloween holiday as much as this one, it was the last holiday , one that , i had any affinity for.
