I'd be honoured to walk you through Jane if you'd like to read it
I think the story would resonate with you.

In my Chaucer class, the professor was stunned that I did so bad on the Middle English translation; he was surprised when I presented a decent paper on satire in the "Nun Priest's Tale."

I'll email you my Pardoner's Tale reinterpretation when I get home. My prof was speechless.

Mmmm.....that would be fascinating!

Chaucer really laced into the people who sold "indulgences."

At least, on Sesame Street, people are protective of him.

I love his pedantry and the way he doesn't use contractions. He was my dream job (I wanted to write his scripts with Jon Stone in NYC -- we could have been neighbours!) 8)

Um yes -- Pardoner's Tale was didactic, indeed!

The Pardoner was probably the character Chaucer disliked most.

Entering the work field, but not being treated like either an indentured servant nor serf..

Why is it that I don't look that bad when I see my reflection in a mirror but when I see myself in a photo I look disgusting? I took a couple of selfies with my new phone but hated how I looked so I deleted them.

Maybe cameras are somehow able to show us how we "really" look. :(

I am sorry to hear that. I hope they get better for you.

I’m dreaming things that are keeping me from falling asleep or things that make me sick when I wake up in the morning. Damn insomnia.

Some people say something is "unfortunate" or "sad". It sounds like it implies everything should be happy and fortunate

If everything were fortunate, that changes the definition of "fortunate"

I'm not going to tell the staff at my clubhouse what it's like for me not to have a job, anymore. They only understand the North American mindset of how nice it would be not to have to work. They don't understand the German mindset of feeling suffocated because of not having a job to go to.

I completely understand. I currently am not in a position to be working, and it's making my depression worse, because it feels like I'm completely useless, just sitting around doing nothing all day. I really want to work, to feel like I'm making some kind of contribution - to give some sort of meaning to my life, I guess. It doesn't really matter that much to me what I'd be doing so long as it would be a job I was capable of performing properly, just that I'd actually be doing something.

Our neighbors are removing a large tree from their backyard, which means they've been using chainsaws the entire afternoon, and probably won't be stopping for a while yet. Very hard on my ears, even from inside.

Today's aikido instructor referred to me as a "beginner". But I have done over 450 lessons, oner ten years

She said she has only done aikido eight years

Makes me wanna give up

Chances of injury, or bad things happening (sooner or later, bad things will happen), socially awkward, $$$$$

Versus pros:. More skill, friends maybe

Aikido just ain't worth it

The job interview yesterday felt so out of comfort zone. Fancy law office. Not ghetto enough.

Today's job interview was uneventful.

So was yesterdays
