I am now complaining about Nintendo. Apparently they have been dictating to retailers what days they can, and cannot, sell Wii consoles. I found this out from one of my contacts at Toys 'R' Us. The idea behind this is to create more of a demand by making supply seem less than it is, even though many retailers have them in the back. That is messed up and greedy. Kids will be crying next week, because parent's were unable to find one.

I first want to complain about whoever left the giant railroad spike-sized nail in the road that obliterated my left rear tire last Friday. Thankfully this new $100+ tire was covered with Road Hazard Insurance at Sears and I got the full value in the replacement tire as it was only a few months old. I only had to pay for the new stem, balancing the new tire, and Road Hazard Insurance for the new tire. It still sucked wasting half of Friday dealing with it. I had to leave work early, which I could get into trouble for since our time cards were submitted Wednesday due to the holiday. I could not do a correction, as nobody was in to correct it.

My second complaint is about my Father's new wife. We agreed to try and have them over again, the last time was a fiasco, and it didn't go well. To start the day off, I held the door for her and said "Hello!", which was one of her complaints from the last time we saw them 6+ months ago. She said, "Merry Christmas!" To which I said nothing. Unable to let this go she said, "What, you don't say Merry Christmas?" I replied bluntly, "I am not a Christian, so no!" To keep things in perspective, I happen to agree with the religious nuts who say "Keep the Christ in Christmas", even if they aren't actually celebrating the dude's real birthday. It is their holiday, so I don't participate. It would be blasphemous to me and disrespectful to them. But to most people I am just an as*hole, because I am not Christian. Oh well! Secondly, my 4-year old son was showing off some of his lightsabers and was excited to "train" my Father. When he talked to her about them, she said "I don't do Star Wars!" That was just plain rude, and intentional at that based upon what happened as she arrived. How dare she treat my son like that. This is not the first time either, as she has not included him in stuff that she did for my oldest daughter and would refuse him bluntly when he inquired if he could participate. What a b***h! My wife prefers the 'C' word. Thirdly, she invited herself upstairs to see our bedrooms when my wife went up to get the baby up from her nap. You just don't do that. Sure, my wife could have invited her, but seeing as how the baby doesn't know her and is going through a bit of a stranger anxiety thing at the moment, she didn't want her to come, but she did anyway. Then she went off into the other kid's rooms and our bedroom. What a nosey b***h. Finally, while my wife and I were not paying attention she took our oldest daughter aside and asked her if she wanted to spend the weekend with them, something I have made clear is not going to happen. I do not trust my Father to watch my kid, so I sure is hell don't trust her. My wife was livid that she once again used our daughter to try and persuade us of something. We are seriously considering telling my Father never again. He can visit, but she is not welcome.

Ha ha! This was post 4404!! ! I must be in error...

My latest b***h session is about myself, or at least my reaction to, I think, my new medication. For three straight nights while at my in-law's I have woken up between 0100 and 0300 unable to sleep with my mind racing. I forget to bring my Lunesta, which I usually take here since the couch-bed I have to sleep on is from the 60's and the most awful thing you could imagine for ones back and neck. I started Risperdal a little over a week ago and have been having trouble sleeping with it. Like my other medications, I am supposed to take it at night due to the drowsiness side effect. Like the other medications, I found this didn't work and now take it in the morning, but am still not sleeping. I suppose I need more data points to determine if it is the medication of the environment, but still... At least I get to post on WP and zOMG. I cannot get online during the day at all.

I was going to complain about the NFL Network, but now that the NFL got its act together and will simulcast the Patriots' game on NBC and CBS, I suppose I cannot complain.

Go Patriots!

Go Brady!

I hate stereotypes of any kind. People are too eager to judge and there are too many stupid people who have no idea what they're talking about and being so cocky about their opinions.

Wow, I needed this thread! I didn't want to start a thread over a complaint. Ok. I am disabled, and have been needing new eye glasses forever. I found out about a charitable organization that would help with them, and applied. They approved me, and I got the estimate from a eyeglass vendor at the mall. When they received the written estimate, they sent me a check, made out to the vendor, for the exact amount. Smooth sailing so far!

I returned to the vendor, and they began to write up the sale. I handed over the check, and suddenly, it was a hassle. The guy asked me for ID. I gave it, but explained that since I wasn't writing a check, he didn't really need it. He tried to put the check through their system, using my ID. Of course it didn't work. He then told me that the check was "bad." And then told me that I had to call some dumb 800 number. I had to take the check, go home, I called the 800 number, and they said that the vendor didn't take "third party checks." I explained that it wasn't a third party check, but to no avail. I then had to call the organization. They promised to straighten it out. Said they'd had this happen before.

Three days later, I had to go back and present the check again. The associate apologized, but since she wasn't the one who had f****d up in the first place, it didn't matter. Finally I got my glasses. When I went to pick them up, the original idiot was there. He wouldn't make proper eye contact.

Store employees should have to take an IQ exam and pass it with flying colors, before being given the opportunity to harass and aggravate hundreds of people on a daily basis.

Ugh... I had a stomach virus that started toward the end of the day on Christmas and lasted for about a day (what a bad day it was!) and now that I'm fully recovered from that... I have a classic case of the common cold. :( Normally I'm healthy and full of vim and vigor, but lately my immune system seems to have malfunctioned. I spent a good deal of the past hour or so crying because I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I know I'm not dying or anything serious, but getting sick is a rare occurrence for me, so when it happens I'm absolutely miserable.

I'm bored and restless this evening, but I can't do much because my brother is over tonight watching the Patriots game with my mom. Plus I've had both a glass a wine and a pint of stout, so I don't want to drive anywhere (besides, where would I go? Home Depot to look at paint samples and varnishes??).

I watched some of the stuff on my DVR 'cause I need to free up recording space. After I watched and copied to VCR all the Good Eats and Literary Visions episodes, I watched this really depressing documentary about child soldiers that aired on the History International channel, and now I just feel bad about how horrific life is for some people on this planet and how I can't do a damn thing about it. :x

Ugh, and now my brother turned on NPR and they're playing a Dan Fogelberg song. Never was a big Foglberg fan, but now he's recently dead, so it's just depressing me more to here his music.

EDIT: Now I'm annoyed because I made so many typos in my post that I felt obliged to edited it.

I used to find this thread fun, but now I've really come to hate it!
It's gone from a story about survival to a blurb about almighty beings and wanting to kill each other!
(Sorry Gamester.)

The Wensleydale cheese I just had was dry beyond belief! Horrible stuff. I'm glad it was free.
