I don't get why people can't just agree to disagree, like in the old days.

I don't get why people think it's weird for an adult to wear a costume and collect candy on Halloween. Once a year you dress as almost anything you want, and eat candy that's what makes Halloween so awesome.

I don't think people could agree to disagree in the old days either, like back when white people wouldn't allow black people into "whites only" public places, or treated left-handed people like garbage and tried to convert them to right-handedness.

It seems to be where I live, anyway. Like that one time a few ago when my mother and I went to a Halloween festival wearing costumes and when we got there we soon found out we were the only adult visitors in costumes. And when we went to a Pumpkin display at another park the kids were wearing costumes but none of the adults did except a couple who were working there. And then there's where at the mall kids could come wearing costumes on Halloween but forget the adults we're not supposed to have any fun. Even the adults who take their own kids out for candy collecting don't wear costumes let alone get candy for themselves. It's sad and it sucks. They think we're all supposed to sit at home and watch gory movies, which I hate, because it's only okay to an adult to wear a costume if you're at a Halloween party. And I know I won't be going to one, even with the Covid restrictions lifted. It'll be just another boring and depressing night. :(

My mother has this weird notion that you shouldn't give candy to kids over 12.
WTF?

They usually arrive later at night so she thinks they're just trying to get the last candies.
Um, yeah ... So what?! 8O

I agree if there were little kids and bigger kids or adults at my door for candy, I would give it to the youngest first.
They're just learning about shelling out.

That doesn't mean adults can't have some too.

Do you have that thing for autistic kids?
I forget what it's called but there's a program educating homeowners that autistic kids might not speak.
Some people won't give candy unless the kid says "Trick or Treat".
Autistic kids are supposed to carry blue pumpkins, or something stupid like that.
I think that's ridiculous because we should all be treated the same.

I don't get why being an artist is about the only occupation where people think in order to be good at you have t be mentally unstable or high on drugs.

Oh, and I guess all artists are like Hitler now.

Yeah, I was furious when I found out Autism $peaks was encouraging parents to make there kids carry around blue pumpkins on Halloween. I never liked pumpkin pails even as a kid because they barely hold any candy. In true Canadian tradition I used to lug a pillow case around to fill.

I don't get the appeal of TikTok.

I think the last time I went trick-or-treating I was like, 14 years old. Me and two of my friends did it. We started a lot later than actual little kids start and didn't wear half-assed costumes. A few people were annoyed that we were doing that, but most seemed to just not care. I don't get why people get upset when older kids/younger teens go trick-or-treating as long as they behave themselves and put effort into it. If someone's not old enough to have a job and easily buy their own candy (so like under 16) I don't see a problem with it, and I still personally give teenagers older than that candy anyways. There's a lot of worse things that they could be doing on Halloween.

I don't get why some fast food workers take such a long time to serve me.

I don't get why people don't do this all year long!

Also, Hitler was an artist....
