Hope you had a good night flea. Sounds delightful. The trouble is with me and drinks like that is that I just neck it like it's pop because it tastes so good. I can't savour it.

I went to Hyde in Greater Manchester today, and was impressed by the beer section of their Asda supermarket, which is a lot better than the one in my local Asda. Among the products on sale were Titanic Plum Porter, St Austell Mena Dhu Cornish Stout and Batemans Mocha Coffee Chocolate Beer, and quite a few other interesting items.

So what did you choose then

I'm drinking a bottle of 'Titanic Plum Porter' that I bought from Asda earlier today. I can definitely recommend this stuff - it's a fair bit better than the own brand version that Aldi sells. Titanic is a small Staffordshire brewery whose products seem to have been finding their way into the supermarkets of late.

Just answered my question

Morning all!

How do you guys who are on meds get away with drinking so much? I've been told I mustn't drink (or smoke) on the antidepressants and the strong antihistamines that I'm on. Not that I do drink or smoke anyway, but I don't want to risk drinking even if I wanted to.

Dunno. I've never really thought about it.

As long as they don't use the same metabolic pathway it's not that big of deal.

But you can't mix booze and tylenol, they'll ruin your liver.

On my box of olanzapine it says do not drink alcohol. I looked it up on the NHS website and it says alcohol may make you sleepy and lessen the effect of the meds but it's not dangerous as such.

Alcohol is a depressant so may lessen the effect of anti depressants. (I'm on fluoxetine - Prozac) but it's not dangerous to drink as such.

Wow you're doing well mate. Keep it up.

We should have a competition to see who can stay sober the longest.
