The cold of winter decided to come back for a visit. The temperature dropped down to 18.1 degrees F ( -7.7 degrees C) last night. The weather forecast calls for more cold and possibility for snow this week.

Thermal tights and layered polyester jackets solve most of winter's challenges; they are invisible under my pants and parka, a case of wear and forget.

Yes, clothing can come in pretty handy in the cold. I actually have layered clothing that will allow me to move in temperatures close to -100 degrees F ( -73 degrees C) for a little while. Luckily, I do not normally have to use them.

Well that beats me! I once skied ( a school trip) in minus 30C, and managed on just longjohns and jeans, for leg protection. The locals, more used to -10C, thought it too cold, so we had the slopes to ourselves!

Snow is falling to the north of us and to the south of us but we are in the middle of two storms. The temperature is 24.6 degrees F ( -4.1 degrees C) and still dropping. We will see what tomorrow brings.

We got another inch of snow. Not enough to use the snow blower.

The temperature dropped to 8.6 degrees F ( -13 degrees C) last night. But the ground has no snow. The birds were out looking for food, so I took a little bit out and fed them. Storms to the north of us and storms to the south but we were in the middle and the days are getting longer. Spring is coming.
