Omg yes! 8O  (I know you ment the funny video)

If I sing out loud I would also make a terrible neighbor, at least here where the isolation is so bad. So I only mime to the music.

I believe they are somewhat opposite to each other... Fate is something that is likely to happen no matter what, Destiny would more likely be something you are good at and seek success, as examples.

I have been reading some back when I first started to post in this thread. I remember it when I read it. I have found you all back there too.

Fate would be used more in a negative format, Destiny in a positive.. Even though they are some what opposite, more in the way they are expressed. You could say ""It was your fate to do well in life"" , but saying "" It was your destiny to do well in life"", has a more positive connotation to it :)

lol, thanks Froya, i think i am somewhat correct?

Were you reading back on some of my past posts? lol

When it comes to your second question I must be honest and say I mostly read my own posts   Narcissism is a b***h. It's quite unpleasent reading at times

Fate is entirely predetermined by divine forces: the Gods, the Fates, etc. There is nothing you can do to alter or affect it in any way. It is simply the path your life will take, and it accounts for your every action.

Destiny is similar in that it is an unstoppable chain of events, however, it requires some human action to set the chain in motion. Destiny therefore does not account for your every action, as it is liable to be affected by it.

That's my understanding of the distinction, though it's a bit nit-picky.

I think Biggles' idea of the connotative differences is more applicable to modern usage :wtg:.

I'm thinking about giving my beautiful orchid to one of my neighbours. Why you say? Well I have to dry clothes (that has been in the washer) in my apartment istead of in the attic, because sometimes it smells like sewage up there and the smell gets in my clothes.

The problem is if I get to much moisture in the apartment it will get dew on the windows and that will in time rot the window frame. So I'm going to get rid of the plant who also contributes to adds water to the atmosphere in the room.

So now my manipulative side comes to the surface. Which neighbour shall I give it to... What will be of benefit for ME in the long run

^ Choose wisely, Froya.

The neighbour you choose may set into action a chain of events from which there is no turning back.
Orchid destiny :skull:
