Where in Oz are you thinking?

Hmmm, Still not too sure, WA is the best bet, then you have the golden Triangle down in Vic, but that gets flogged pretty good, Have read and studied ""Gold and Ghosts"" Which lists all the old gold fields from the 20c and 19c, Have all the google overlays, tenegraphs for lease ownership's etc and ozi explorer, have many sites listed and logged, Queensland also looks like a promising area. Fossicking licenses in Aus are dirt cheap, so to speak.

Yeah the hunt for gold has been a bit of an interest for sometime, its the perfect aspie pass time! lol... On your own in the middle of nowhere, no people, looking for geological patterns and patterns of possible pay streaks, the hunt of the chase and the adventure.... Yeah, could be some fun :)

^ It does sound very aspie-friendly, I can see you've done your research on it too!

It'll be good to have a bit of freedom and adventure.

Yeah, the history is also pretty wicked, have gps of all the old mines so those areas are best to start with then once i get the flow, head into the more remote virgin areas where the weekender would less likely go, so better check on rain seasons as flash flooding is as bad as 40c heat. lol

Fate is entirely predetermined by divine forces: the Gods, the Fates, etc. There is nothing you can do to alter or affect it in any way. It is simply the path your life will take, and it accounts for your every action.

Destiny is similar in that it is an unstoppable chain of events, however, it requires some human action to set the chain in motion. Destiny therefore does not account for your every action, as it is liable to be affected by it.

That's my understanding of the distinction, though it's a bit nit-picky.

I think Biggles' idea of the connotative differences is more applicable to modern usage :wtg:.

thank you! :)

Haha, there are some diamond, sapphire and opal deposits in Queensland... However a rock that size may be a little too optimistic... Lower standards means less set up for disappointment... i have the info needed , now i need to get some ground experience there, as its not just the geology, but learning about the old timers sites and understanding the methods they used to also decipher how gold bearing the area is.... There are soo many added puzzles that just picking a mine detector off the shelf and expecting to find something will lead in disappointment... It is quit an interesting science in itself... Still got a ton to learn..

Oh, , it is a metal detector not a mine detector lol, a ""minelab"" is the make of the best detectors. Had both pictured in my head hence the ""mine detector"". lol

Using a metal detector looks so exiting. Here in Norway amateur users of such have found many treasures from thousends of years back.

Like this for example. Gold from Roman times
