A honey badger would make a good pet.
What do you think, QA?

Hell yes.

Honey Badgers are known for their gentle attitudes and also for eating a man.

Bald badgers just look a little comical.

Thought I'm sure even a bald honey badger could take down a grown man.

Well, I just came out of a most precarious situation.

For the last two days I have been doing some hiking on local hills to get me out of the house a bit more. Yesterday I hiked on a trail on a local hill that has some telecommunication towers on it. Today though I found a hill with a 45 degree slope on the side, it's not the first hill of the sort I climbed so I decided to give it a go.

Going up was challenging but fun, however I got to a point near the top there I couldn't go any further so I decided to call it a day and go back. I forgot how hard it is to go down though, I ended up slowly sliding down and it took ages. I ended up going down a different route then the one I used to get up and I came to a rock wall at 3-4 meters high and sloped at about 50-60 degrees that I had to go down. Going around would take ages so I decided to give it a go and I got myself into a position where going back up was nearly impossible and the only option I could see was dropping down 2 meters onto the sloped rocky loosely packed ground.

After a few minutes of hesitation I finally just let go, hitting the ground rather hard on my feet and tumbling down for a good few seconds before sliding to a stop. I got back up relieved that I had not hit my head against a rock (which was my biggest fear) only to have the adrenaline wear off as I became aware of how badly my feet hurt and how many scrapes and had. It's the kind of thing that would have caused me to limp rather badly if it was just on one foot, but both of my feet hurt just as much. Fortunately by that point I had passed the worst of the terrain and driven by the promise of my car parked nearby I stumbled my way back. I then drove home, got on the internet, and here I am now talking about it. I'm probably going to try to stay off my feet for a few days until I can actually walk around more easily without it hurting so much.

sounds awful, mike. if you get a whole lot of swelling and bruising, or if the pain lasts longer than a week, an x-ray to make sure you didn't fracture a foot bone might be a good idea.

Ouchy.
Hope you haven't done too much damage.

It sounds very much like an experience I had a few years ago where I had to slide partway down a mountain on my butt.
Wasn't good for the butt cheeks, I can tell you that.
Especially when they have practically zero padding.
Also skinned my palms pretty badly.

You've got to be resilient to be a Queenslander.
