Hooray, BenderRodriguez! Cats are wonderful!

Leah, I enjoy reading your stories. Hope the berry picking was enjoyable and fun!

Cats all around!

Our new kitty is so well behaved and listens to us when we talk to him and always comes to give us a cuddle after we feed him. He even sits outside on our deck with us.

I got distracted from my berry picking by cutting back the other berry bushes and trees to let some sunlight through for the shorter huckleberry bushes. I feel so bad for cutting living plants or even weeding that I have to apologize to them. We have a big, steep hill in front of our house and my dad cut down all of the trees a few years ago so we could have a view of the ocean. At the time I was against him cutting down the trees but now I’m happy that he did it. It allowed all of the berry bushes to take over and now our backyard is always full of birds.

Leah,

Another friend of cats! You have a lot of lovely stories to tell. They are a joy to read.

Sitting before my favourite painting for twenty minutes in an almost empty gallery (it was near closing time).

Visiting a bookstore I love.

I jumped up to touch leaves on a tree.
Even though I missed, two people were amused, and one said, "That was cool."

I was inducted as a member of an advanced Toastmasters club which meets on the first Monday of every month.

Wimbledon is in full swing.

As always, cats

I applied for a new passport last Wednesday. It arrived today (Tuesday). It was all done online... apart from having to send back my old passport. I'm amazed that a system organised by HM Govt has worked like clockwork.

Also... Rafa has just come out on court at Wimbledon.

jaboticaba fruiting again. Lots of mangos ripening. The yellow orchid is blooming again. I am feeling a bit cheerful again.

A productive meeting with a friend to discuss Toastmasters and plans for the coming Toastmasters year

Roger and Rafael winning their first round matches at Wimbledon (and Nishikori and Tipsarevic, too)

The old standby, cats
