wish there was a safe place I could wear my god suit for Halloween. I haven't tricked-or-treated since 1973. :skull:

Oh boy - I just found out (as in, no more than ten minutes ago) that I have to put a costume together in time for a party my social skills group is having on Saturday, including some fairly precise painting and stuff that I'll have to try to do with a significant tremor, if I'm going to try to do what I really want to - fortunately I already had an idea and had started to do some stuff quite a while ago, so I can at least pick up where I left off instead of trying to start completely from scratch (because that would so not be happening in two days). I'm really nervous about it - that I won't finish my costume in time, that it won't turn out the way I wanted at all, that people might judge me for it, that only one person there will even have the slightest idea what it's supposed to be... Honestly, I'd much rather not go. I wish I could still get away with just going trick-or-treating for Halloween instead of having to go to a party if I'm going to do anything at all, I'd be much more comfortable doing that (and would've had a lot more lead time, too). Also, I sure hope the paint I was using before hasn't dried out or anything - if it has, I'll have to wait for my mom to get more on her way back from work tomorrow afternoon.

it's for fun, right? costumes shouldn't have to be perfect. and if folks don't understand who you are, it gives you a chance to talk about your character. you'll grow their world.

I guess so. And dressing up is optional. I'm thinking about not going, or if my parents talk me into going anyway, of not dressing up and explaining that I didn't know for sure whether the party was going to happen or not until today and had no other reason to dress up, so I didn't have anything ready.

I know I'm really depressed when I can't even get any joy out of my current special interest(s) :(

Power's out and I'm on 13% battery life. Probably should've recharged sooner.

happy birthday! eat cake, hopefully your favorite.

My birthday was actually back in August. I've been 30 for a while now. I am mourning my 20's since they should've been my best times.

then, maybe some comfort food? ice cream, pudding, mac & cheese, a bit of whatever you like?

when grieving, it's important to get enough sleep, exercise, and healthy food.

I indulged myself after work because I had to eat crappy gas station food since I was running late.

It gets on my nerves when precious lil "people" are too loud

Talking is just making noise, just like playing the drums is making noise. Sometimes it serves a function, but rarely is it as important as the speaker acts like it is

"What" "huh"

Dogs

Dryer doesn't work

Precious lil "people" act like they are so entitled, morally innocent, and valuable

Strangers try to buy drugs from me

Homophobia

Failure to apologize

Confirmation bias

Hindsight bias

Consolation prize

Reparations

Excessive enthusiasm

Dramatic

Theatrical

Impatient bathroom

It's really about time for my brother to get an upturn from the bad cold he's had since Friday. I know it's just a cold and he'll be fine, but I still feel bad that he feels bad.

And on a related note, whoever says people on the autism spectrum don't have empathy is full of crap - I, for one, probably have more empathy than they do.

when your ex girlfriend is fat due to poor physical stamina brought on by scar tissue in the lungs from a severe bout of pertussis in childhood that would have been easily prevented had she been properly vaccinated, but she wasn't.

Rednecks and hip hoppers, especially the ones I know, are glaring examples of NTs who lack empathy. They both harm or even kill defenseless animals, think LGBT people should be killed, don't care about the safety of the public with the way they speed their vehicles, and abuse their children.
