Thanks Isabella and martianprincess

I had joined a patient healthy advisory committee and the management there liked my ideas so well that they setup this appointment with this head doctor that I had today.
Phenom! Was it primarily about your skin conditions, or autism, or healthcare reform in general?
I did mention that I was autistic but my topics focused on the the problems with the abysmal condition of the emergency psychiatry ward in the local hospital and areas of improvement/practical solutions. Also we talked about access to peer support workers in family medicine, cherry picking in family medicine when it comes to accepting new patients, and talked in depth about the value of a diagnosis not only for treatment but beyond treatment as well as various problems regarding how chronic illnesses are diagnosed and managed.

Got to meet and speak with the head doctor that oversees healthcare management for my city and the entire region today for an hour. I talked about my thoughts, criticisms, and practical solutions for a variety of areas of the healthcare system from my city's psych ER, to problems with family practice discrimination, to the management of chronic illnesses. She was very receptive, agreed with and thanked me for everything that I talked about. She told me that she was impressed with me and that I was really intelligent and articulate. She even asked to meet me again to speak further about more of my thoughts of a variety of topics. Finally my thoughts born from all of my years of experience can be channeled to someone who actually has the authority to act.
WOW!
Thanks
