I've been listening to the soundtrack for the West End theatre version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory all weekend....wish I could see it - I just can't get over how clever (and hilariously funny) the lyrics to all the songs are. I think Warner Brothers is going to release a movie version of the West End play (filmed in the same way the video release of Cats was, I think), though...I don't know for sure.

Anyway, here's my current favorite song from the soundtrack - when Violet Beauregarde has the Chewing-Gum Meal and turns into a blueberry. Just a warning - the outcome of this (which we hear about at the end of the song) is a bit more disturbing than it was in the book and both movie versions. Still lots of fun to listen to, though.

I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.
