It's not that I don't care, I just don't agree with the way you handle your problems. I wish I had something nice and comforting to say, but what I want to do is give you a lecture. Just because I'm younger than you doesn't mean I know less. We're on the same side. I have studied this stuff a heck of a lot and yes it is post-colonial. It's not like the natives didn't have their land stripped, their language taken etc, there was almost a genocide ffs.

What you did on Wednesday was not nice, it was a funeral for f**k's sake. I emailed them my apologies, they haven't

responded. I expect they think I couldn't be bothered to turn up. You won't have told them we were there, you saw

us, but that you drove off so that we couldn't follow. five and a half hours in a car. I had to give dad the instructions

over the phone because I only got the address at the last minute and he misunderstood them. The next time

someone tells you something important believing you will pass the information on to me, tell them the truth.
