My 4 pm got changed to 3 pm, giving me a chance of getting home at a decent hour, considering the traffic forecast for today.

My mom actually allowed me to do most of the cooking for Thanksgiving dinner, for the first time. She always wants to be in control of doing everything, so it was a big step for her to let me help that much, and it made her very nervous. But she is getting older, so I'm trying to get her used to it.

fed pigeons and seagulls bird seeds. i think were friends now... really got absorbed in their company actually to a point where the world around me no longer existed but these beautiful birds... people seemed to not really care about them, they're considered pests in the town, i remember they're was a few news articles about them attacking dogs and stealing food, in particular seagulls, not too long ago, and actually they're was a petition in the town to allow anyone to shoot them on the street not long ago, which i thought was a bit of a silly, so they're kind of left out, unless they're going through a bin, but actually if you just take a minute to feed them directly and look them in the eye and observe them, they're full of life, all the groups of seagulls and pigeons seem to be friends or family who follow each other, they play their own game but really, they're just alright...

the human world is not designed for birds to survive on, it's why i've seen so many dying birds in my life on the streets, in particular mutated racing pigeons with tags on them, so if one is dying they need to be at least put into a bush with some electrolyte water so they're away from humans, considering they're terrified of us, and left to rest... i'm saying that to myself.

then discovered on the internet the variety of foods you can feed them to give them the nutrition they need rather than just seeds and so they're not eating 'a damaging diet of bread that has no nutrition' - all vegetables and fruits in moderation, insects.

so going to go most days to feed the birds healthy food so they can fly and stuff which is a happy.

I wrote a note to my son's teacher (different lady from the ones last year - each yr they have a new one for special needs teachers, they rotate i think)

basically suggesting that they take him out for recess with normal kids, it'll help him focus n he seems to do well in playgrounds, and i dont mind being a volunteer supervisor to take care of him for that time...

i had asked this last 2 years, always told no, and wd do it sneakily behind their backs with the agreement of the normal kids' teacher, but i didnt do it v often because the teacher (the nice one who let me) was worried about her job in case someone 'caught' me letting my son have recess (how messed up that she had to worry about that?!)

I asked this yrs teacher for this before only once and that was at the beginning of the yr where i guess she had only been told what the previous yrs teachers had done---, i only asked the previous 2 years' teachers who had said no every time. ( the first yr he had a teacher did do this, because she was fantastic n caring and understanding as were 2 of her Teacher's assistants) .

ANYWAY THIS TEACHER WROTE TO ME SAYING YES

in a very nice thoughtful note, advising that i please get him gloves he cant pull off (longer ones with straps) as that worries her, and THIN ear muffs to wear under his safety helmet.
SO HAPPY
