Lie was indeed 2, the amount was 20 not 30.

#1. You’ve had chaste fantasies based on Charlie Brown.

Yes, I've had chaste fantasies of reading War and Peace on NYE just like Charlie.

1. I nearly broke the arm off my glasses when opening my pantry door tonight. I smacked the side of my head somehow.

2. I nearly broke my mobile phone when walking my dog tonight. It fell onto the stone footpath.

3. I nearly broke my Elton John album tonight. I almost sat on it. :(

I hope the Lie is #3. That would be a very painful thing for you, should this happen.

My lie was 2. I didn't drop my phone.

I did almost sit on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road; it was on my bed :(

There’s no comparing playing a record album with playing a CD.

1. My father used to have this big console record player (it wasn’t a stereo). At one point, he played “A Taste of Honey” by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass constantly. This was about 1967-1968. He kept on snapping his fingers.

2. My father used to constantly wear a suit in the house during the 1960s.

3. He didn’t go fully gray until his 50s. He looked like Phil Donahue then.

I googled for 3. Based on your photo, I can see a slight resemblance between you and PD (therefore, I assume your father as well).

I really doubt that 2 is true, considering you all lived in one room when you were young.

The Lie is #3. My father’s hair was totally white by age 40. He did look like Phil Donahue. His hair never thinned like mine did.

After March, 1964, we lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in Queens. He always seemed to be wearing a suit in my 1960s memories.

Phil Donahue was Oprah’s mentor.

Vinyl albums I have played in the past hour:

1. Frank Sinatra, Christmas

1. Simon&Garfunkel, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

2. Cheap Trick, Live at Budokan

#1. I bet you’re a Sinatra fan—but I can’t see you playing this album at this time.

You must be good at protecting your records.

1 is true. Sinatra is singing "...and this song of mine in 3/4 time wishes you and yours the same thing, too" right now -- Can't think what the title of this song is. :) Yes, I play Christmas music in the summer if I really want to relax with my faerie lights.

2 is true ("Silent Night / 7:00 News" is at the end of this album) -- yes, I'm odd.

3 is my lie. Cheap Trick is standing by when Sinatra is finished.

I remember, as an adolescent, really identifying with “I want you to want me....”

1. I thought that “Hey Jude” was too long.

2. I thought that “American Pie” was too long.

3. I thought that “Bridge Over Trouble Waters” was too long.

You've mentioned 3.

Most people think 1.

I think your lie is 2.

(Did you take your Chevy to the levy, or did you have an old gold Chevy and a place of your own?)

Right again, Isabella.

I was a little older, 11, and was a little more patient with “American Pie.”

It would have been a waste of a good Chevy to take it to the Levee....

I've never seen the end of:

1. The Wizard of Oz

2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

3. The Sound of Music

because I always had to go to bed.
