Last night I dreamt I went swimming in a lagoon. The water was a crystalline blue and warm, and I could, as always, breathe under water. Since I could breathe, I did the usual and decided to lay at the floor and found a small rock cubby to curl up and relax in to look out of just to pleasantly observe the aquatic life while I was there. I noticed all the fish were gone after I had established my cozy spot, and then noticed upon panoramic inspection that there was now a great white in the waters. My heart began to race, so I crawled out of my cubby and into another closer to the beast. She began circling as I watched in fascination. It felt like the more my heart was beating heavier, the closer she got, and by the time my heart was beating out of my chest, she was circling a path right above me just within my reach, so I gave her tummy a gentle rub upon one of her passes... there didn't seem to be repercussions to this, and then I awoke.

I was in a cafe on the side of a highway near large crossroads. We'd stopped to get some food, but the owner wanted to be paid in cloth, like for sewing clothes, for some reason, not cash money. In among my possession I'd saved some cloth of various types and showed one to him. He liked the texture and said it was valuable so we traded the cloth for our lunch. Then I got back in the truck with my son and my partner. We drove away and I was glad to be gone from the odd man and his cafe, and back on to driving on the freeway.

Highway
To see a highway in your dream represents your sense of direction and your life's path. Consider the conditions of the highway which will reveal how much you feel in charge of your life. A smooth, straight highway signifies inner peace, while a winding, bumpy road reflects emotional distress/disharmony.
Freeway
To dream that you are on a freeway indicates that you are feeling liberated and free. You are well on your way to achieving your goals.
Crossroads
To dream that you are at a crossroads symbolize an important decision that you need to make. You have come to a point in your life where you have several options that you need to weigh. Each option will lead you to a different destination or goal. Alternatively, the crossroads suggest of a change in direction in your life.
Cafe
To dream that you are at a cafe represents your social life. The dream is telling you that it is time to call up old friends and catch up with what they are all up to. Alternately, To dream that you are eating in a cafe denotes that there may be a lot of issues "eating" you up inside.
Man
To see an odd man in your dream denotes unresolved issues in your life, and feelings of being off-balance. It also indicates the aspect of yourself that is assertive, rational, aggressive, and/or competitive. Perhaps you need to incorporate these aspects into your own character. If the man is known to you, then the dream may reflect you feelings and concerns you have about him. To see an old man in your dream represents wisdom or forgiproblem. veness. The old man may be a archetypal figure who is offering guidance to some daily
Possessions
To see your possessions in your dream symbolize your identity or self-worth. Consider the significance of each item for additional clues to the meaning of your dream. Metaphorically, the dream may mean that you are being "possessive"- you may need to learn to let go of old memes that dominated your life up to this point, if they are no longer pertinent to your present life and conditions.
Cloth
To see cloth in your dream represents components and various pieces that composes your life. Consider the color for additional significance. It may hint of your outlook and how things are going in your life.

Lunch
To see or eat lunch in your dream indicates that you are lacking spiritual enrichment and enlightenment in some area of your life. To trade cloth for food indicates you are letting go of a part of your life which no longer "suits" you, for something more suitable for you. To dream that you are eating with others signifies harmony, intimacy, merriness, prosperous undertakings, personal gain, and/or joyous spirits. Also consider the pun, "what's eating you up?" in reference to anxiety that you may be feeling. to dream that you are eating with others signifies harmony, intimacy, merriness, prosperous undertakings, personal gain, and/or joyous spirits. The various visual puns in your dream, are a result of the absense of frontal lobe activity in dreams, it is the sub-conscious mind's best attempt at conveying information to the waking mind.

I had a dream a couple of nights ago where I was the opposite sex. Very strange.

A few nights before that, I had a pretty awesome dream where I had met my 'dream girl'. Sadly, I woke up before we got intimate.

I have lots of dreams about being back in school and not keeping up with my classes and dreams of having to perform in plays where I don't know my lines and being expected to play music but I don't know how, but nobody seems to care when I try to explain.

You should sleep with more blankets on. Or make sure you go to bathroom before going to bed.

In my experiennce anxiety nightmares ( flunking school, my dad finding out I had a fenderbender even though IRL he's been dead for decades) usually have the very prosaic cause of me being too cold while I sleep (or maybe by your need to take a piss).

They're not nightmares. I don't feel very anxious, and I actually enjoy most of these dreams because I would dearly love to go back to school or be in a play or play music. I nearly never have nightmares. There's no air conditioner in my room and it's very hot here at night so I can barely stand to have a sheet. When I have to use the bathroom, I usually dream about water.

Cool!

Our community has a little "Spring Show" every year- pre existing songs with altered lyrics made into song and dance numbers- employing all ages from gradeschool up -with topical themes spoofing the nation, and the local community. "Enthusiasm is the main qualification, but we will consider talent as a substitute!" But they do use some very professional stagecraft. I have been in a couple of them over the years. Too bad you dont live here.

Last night it was buying/living in this old massive labyrinth of an abandoned house in this decrepit neighborhood. I was happy though, because all the original furnishings were still there and I could just explore it forever. It had a creepy, but elegant vibe to it that reminded me of the Overlook Hotel. :o

In my dream one of the WP members was lecturing me about how unhealthy xylitol was. I was very disappointed about that because I use xylitol instead of sugar believing it's healthy.

Thank god it was just a dream.

I dreamed that I was at work, there was a girl with me who had long ginger hair and she was extremely serious.

On leaving work there was a scuffle because the lads wanted to throw us in the swimming pool as a joke but they didn't succeed.

The ginger haired girl told me of her fear about the scuffle because it brought back bad memories.

Then we went outside and there was two big freezers full with all different flavoured ice-cream.

We both had spoons and we tasted each flavour. It was really nice.

The funny thing was, was that when I woke up I could smell strawberry ice-cream.

I had a dream I was living in a massive city, I was living in a tiny room in the bottom of a building in some small apartment group, the city was so massive and interconnected some people never went outside, I was some of those people. My friend came to get me because they needed me for a family event, after taking an elevator and walking down a dozen hallways we left the building, it was night and I kept staring at the sky, I told my friend "Wow I haven't been outside in years what did they do to the sky?" there was a large flat advertisement rolling across the entirety of it "when did they do that?" I was amazed.

It was a strange dream and I don't remember much after that part.

I was in a Hogwarts-like boarding school, but it was just a regular school, and it was graduate school. I drove my car up a long hill to get to the campus. All the professors lived in fancy houses where they held their classes. I was the new kid and it was my first day, and each day a student guide would show up to take me to class. You had to wear some variation of the school uniform, and I took mine out of the plastic shrink wrap and it was all wrinkled, but I put it on anyway. I remember going to about 3 classes. In one of them, the professor asked us to name a song that involved a book, and when she called on me, I said, "Uh... Oh! Pressed in a Book, by the Shins!" She said, "Good, now stand up and perform it." And I was like, "Okay, but I don't know the words..." So I started to sing it, just mumbling the words I didn't know, and I was drumming along using a knife and a fork as drumsticks. At the end of the song, I did a drum solo with the utensils, with a big finish, and got really into it, but the class wasn't really paying attention. At one point we went to the cafeteria for lunch, and all the cafeteria staff were off for a national holiday, but they had left us a table full of muffins. One of the students said, "Geez, they used to at least give us quiche when they were out."

I dreamt I was in a hospital, first as a patient and then as I got miraculously well, I became an amateur social worker of sorts, and I was counseling sad patients, when I looked up at the wall clock and noticed it was 12:30 pm and with a start realized that the cafeteria closed at 12:45 so I quickly and awkwardly excused myself from a patient I was counseling and took off for the cafeteria, only to find myself lost in a huge shopping mall that was attached to the hospital, with endless ramps and corridors and stores and shops and atria etc. I ran into several homeless people resting on benches here and there, they were all friendly and nice to me. by the time I made it to the cafeteria, I noticed keys hanging out from the door lock and I said "uh oh" as I entered and found all the food put away and the chairs atop the tables, and a big wall clock prominently displaying the time [3:45, two hours late] as a silent rebuke to my ineptitude at making my way to the cafeteria. I said DAMN! and wandered aimlessly from that point, then I awoke.

Could be symbolic of a desire to be more open and relaxed around people, and 'expose' yourself more.

The on thing that all my dreams have in common is that they're always really noisy.

When I wake up my head is absolutely buzzing with all different sounds and this makes me a really noisy morning person and it takes me hours to calm down.
