I didn't know you had bronchitis!! :( I wonder whether you have a weighted blanket??

Yes I do, I love it :) I sleep under it every night.

Hurrah! Thank you for letting me know. I think everyone on this website should receive one, if I was a millionaire that is one thing I would do for sure.

I have two and sometimes layer them. I even brought my heaviest one here on holiday. It's a must-have.

LAYER them? What a notion! I need to try this out. I actually have an older blanket that he outgrew--that is beautiful to look at too. It was handmade by a person who sold it on Etsy.
He couldn't have gotten through hospitalizations without that blanket, right after it was delivered, he was unexpectedly sick and hospitalized, it was perfect timing that the blanket arrived then and not later.

Oh now I have a better idea (if I was a millionaire).
I would provide weighted blankets to people in rehabilitation or hospital for free!

But it may do more harm than good (i.e. depending on the person's condition)... i could leave that to the discretion of the doctors and nurses and occupational therapists...
to discern....

I wonder whether anyone actually wins the jackpot lottery, and if they actually use it up shortly after with plans like this.... I stay away from it as it's not something I want to contribute to (false hopes for most, little payback)... it seems kind of cruel. Just like casinos. Also addictive, as people here seem to be really obsessed.

Koreans do this thing where they travel to Saudi Arabia, get paid tons more than other places, often the workplace even pays for extra stuff like private schools, and since there's no taxes... they save a lot... then they travel back and use that money on property...and rent out the properties or sell them as the prices increase,,,
so they get even more ...
it seems smarter to do that, if only I had the skill set that someone would be willing to pay for...

I saw it get as low as 37 which compared to the rest of America is pretty warm. No snow to speak of in Orange County but I been in snow and below freezing temperatures before on the mountains when blizzards and snowstorms were happening. What is the coldest it been in your location?

7 below, in the brutal winter storm of '96-97, power was out for a week. if it weren't for a woodstove, we woulda froze. hottest it's been was 106. made me wish i lived in san fran at least until they had their own 100+ degree weather a while back. EDIT- i think snow smells nice and is pretty and makes the most delicate noise as it falls through the air onto the ground, but it is most impractical.

Not asking my mom for money because I wanted to go to a movie theater.

If I did ask her, it would have set her off.

Slowly figuring out the 3d modeling software I have for my 3d printer. Yesterday was the first time I've been able to draw (or plot, maybe) something and print it out.
Made a container to build my first Halbach array.
