I bumped into a very good old friend who I haven't seen for at least 15 years. We live in the same area and I've been waiting to bump into her for ages. It was really nice to catch up and be able to keep in touch again.

My parents put together my kid's feeding xhair that XH wasnt helping with and when I came home after sitting in the car in a parking lot for a long time (since they dropped by unexpectedly I was taking a while to process it and was avoiding a meltdown by staying there).
So that was a huge relief and surprise.
The fact that I signed all the documents for this hopefully non evil lawyer and was able to find my Drivers license in my purse in the correct pocket --though i was convinced it wouldn't be there. I looked everywhere else before checking my purse.

The other great thing was that my mom let me quickly put dark brown eyeliner on her before she left and she looked 100 times better and it was natural enough that my dad couldn't notice and insult it.

I haven't been able to see my friends much because of my new job, and I got very sad about it yesterday, but I invited some people over last night and they were able to come even though it was last-moment, and we had a great time watching old horror movies and playing video games, so I am still really happy from that. :) And I think it cheered my one friend up a lot too which makes me even more happy, because she's been quite depressed.

Built a computer from the ground up (for the first time) today. And it works! And it hasn't caught on fire or anything yet. Going to try to test it's capabilities tomorrow.
Now if I could find the command I used earlier that gave me access to all of it's fancier bits and pieces in the terminal, it would be lovely.
