My Dad told me that Hershey Bars consisted purely of cocoa, milk and sugar. Not sure if that was before or during my lifetime. I don't care for Hershey's, as it does not taste like real chocolate to me, but it must have been good chocolate, back in the day.

Cartoon shows that were actually good.

Using the phone-book to call friends.

Using a watch to tell time, now wearing a watch is more of a fashion statement.

I loved the Marbles, also. I loved to look at their colors and compare their sizes.

Yeah, I loved the colors and sizes, as well; I just never got into playing the game.

I agree. I never got into the game either. I forgot to mention that I also liked the "click" sound the marbles made when they collided. Fond memories :D

Yeah, I never got the hang of shooting marbles. Of course I wasn't very "athletically inclined."

I was named after baseball players, but in three years of little league, I only got one hit.

Hey I lettered in Chess in High School.

Hi Campin' Cat! I hadn't realized you said hello, so, I'm a bit late in responding. I'm well, thank you. : ) How are you doing? I hope, great!!

Ha, I actually wrote 'Bazooka, with the comics enclosed', but, since I still come across those, at various shops, small markets, etc., I wasn't sure if it would qualify to mention within this topic (Based on the Title/Description), so I deleted, prior to submitting my post (I think). Anyway, I love the flavor of Bazooka. I also used to like the flavor of Bubble Yum, although, not nearly as much as the gum inside the packs of baseball cards... or Bazooka, for that matter. I think Bubble Yum came out when I was in jr high school, or perhaps high school, in about the late 70's/early 80's. Yikes, I'm rambling. :skull:

Ok since I've kind of confessed to my quirky self as a kid, how many of you guys had a GI Joe, action figure (NOT a doll)?

When I was 12, I once shoplifted a jacks set.

I got caught doing that. That was the last time I shoplifted.

I loved playing jacks! I still do!

I remember those gigantic jaw breakers that you'd have to work on, for about a month, just to get it small enough, to fit into your mouth. I had no desire for them, however, I'd see various kids licking on the same jawbreakers, day-in and day-out. And, I do remember rock candy. I think I may have come across some, in recent years, in fact. :flower:

LOL...I'm so old that I think of "rock candy" as being something from my adolescence rather than my childhood.

I remember GI Joe. It was similar to a Barbie doll, in it's construction, if I remember correctly. I think I have only seen the doll version, as opposed to the action figure. I never cared for dolls. They freaked me out. I liked the clothes on GI Joe, however.

I tried to shoplift a Barbie beach blanket, got caught and never shoplifted again. That was also my first and only time trying to be a thief. I really wanted that blanket.
