We live in a 150-year-old house out in the country, so the floor in my room is hardwood and a bit worn and warped in places. I have the doors with the old-time keyholes big enough to look through, a brand new closet my husband built for me (since the house never had closets - old ones don't, they used wardrobes back in the day), there's the bed and my French Provincial dresser and accompanying lingerie cabinet (with no lingerie in it, just socks). Across the room from that are my bookshelves - loaded down with books, of course. Along the wall are my computer, my husband's computer, his electric guitar & amp/mic setup, and a ton of knick-knacks and what-nots I've collected over the years. I suppose the most interesting thing in here is the aquarium where my pet snake, Big Red, lives. He's a creamsicle-colored corn snake, about 28" long. I had two others, but I gave them away because they were outgrowing their aquariums and there was no room for them.
