Bought the nurse a cocoa caramel macchiato from Starbucks (her shift was from 4 pm onwards so she was v tired) and she was so happy about it. It was the only time she didn't seem sad or depressed.

This nurse has less shifts than anyone else so I miss her as to be honest her presence is very grounding . she is a staunch Christian but not in a weird way. She is from Burundi which is next ro Rwanda. She has been with us for years. .
Her boss (nursing coordinator) called her 'a pillar for the family' to the care coordinator

So her being over was the best part of my day but seeing her not as serene and exuberant as usual made me extremely sad. So seeing her mood improve from a simple coffee made me extra happy.

I wish she got everything. She is literally one of the best people alive...just like most nurses we get. I think we are extraordinarily lucky as my son is always surrounded by genuine people.

The other thinf that made me happy is I told her about XH and she reacted in a manner only a friend would (i think). She was also annoyed at what he said to me.

That took away most pf my sadness for some reason.

Keeping to the "stay home" order issued by state government that has been in place for about one week.

Getting re-acquainted with all of the kitchen gadgets we've accumulated over the years, and preparing meals that we used to get only at sit-down restaurants.

that health allowed me to go outside in the cheerfully dark gray damp goodness that is the puget sound area, for my daily walk up and down the hills here.

I've stocked up on art and craft supplies to keep me busy for the course of COVID-19.
