Long-time friend ran away from home. I haven't talked to him in a while and I can't say it made me really unhappy but it's not a pleasant thing to hear.

On another website I frequent ("Is It Normal" dot com), somebody made a topic that sounded similar to my life, basically saying "Is It Normal to not want to be an adult?" They typed up a big long post about how they prefer to watch cartoons and children's movies and read comics, and how they basically don't want to have any part of the adult world such as having romantic relationships or children.

The comment with the most thumbs-up basically stated, "You're not a dreamer, you're a loser."

I do even less with my life than the question-asker stated that they did (they claimed to live independently and work a job, neither of which I can say for myself).

So I can just imagine the commentator taking a look at my life and going "Wow, she's such a loser". And society must agree with them if their comment got thumbs-up.

Why do I care so much about some random people on the internet? Well, it's my desire to be loved by everybody, I guess. That, and I forgot to take my meds today, which explains why my posts are so long and rambling tonight.

I can tell you that sleep deprivation has a tendency to, "enhance," the symptoms of the ASD...

...Mainly because it happens to me all the time, except without any drugs (including caffeine) aside from the occasional eye drops. To reduce the effects, I found that for my body, fully waking up an hour early for five minutes or so before returning until the original time helps with the dry eyes (especially with some cold water on the eyelids).

Anyway, misplacing the file for my ISTS project is the really unfortunate event.

I had a stupid dream about Rhonda, that piece of work who calls herself my contact worker. I've had it with her and that clubhouse. I'll still be going on Fridays, but that's it.

IdahoRose, you are usually an upbeat happy person. So when I see you feeling unhappy about something I really feel bad for you. Yes, an ignorant NT might think that of you and me and everyone else who has Aspergers and Autism because of the way we are and because they have no real understanding of people with Aspergers and Autism. Most of them don't even care to know. It's easier for them to be lazy and remain stupid and not make the effort to learn about other people and why they are different from themselves. It's easier for them to call someone a loser when they're really the losers and stupid losers at that. An educated NT would never think we were losers. They understand that some of us can't work even when we want too. They understand how stressful it is for some of us. They also understand about our special interests and our way of doing things and would never try to compare us to themselves.

I believe a lot of us want to be liked and accepted by others. But we never will be liked and accepted like we should be by willfully ignorant NTs. As long as they choose to remain in the dark about us, they well never understand us or accept us or respect us. They'll compare us to themselves and what they think is acceptable.

Some people on the Internet can be so harsh and mean to others. Maybe that other person who likes to watch cartoons and read comics and doesn't want to have children is on the Autism Spectrum like us but they don't realize it. That's really too bad that person was treated that way.

I don't believe you are a loser at all and I'm sure many other people here don't believe you are either. I think of you as a young artist and writer. You're a very creative young woman and you don't have to go to college to learn how to be an artist or a writer or lots of other things. People can learn a great deal on their own and I believe that's exactly what you and many others here are doing. Have you ever seen the movie Good Will Hunting? I love that movie. The main character Will Hunting reminds me of a young Aspergian in many ways.

I hope you get to feeling better about this because those people's opinons are not educated opinons so they really shouldn't count.

Mick, can you talk to someone about her and the way she's behaving towards you, can you talk to someone who is her supervisor or manager or boss? She sounds like she's a willfully ignorant NT to me too.

To Taupey:

I can talk to somebody about her behaviour towards me. I can talk to the boss at the clubhouse and I can also try to get the number of the head guy who's the boss of the boss. I'm going to have to do something.

Mick, you really don't need her doing that crap to you everytime you go to the clubhouse. I hope something happens so it gets better for you and you don't feel like you need to avoid the clubhouse because of her.

my cousin told me he will be leaving the country on the 3rd of december. this could stop me from attending the equal marriage rights rally at the ALP national conference at 12pm on the same day at hyde park. people from all over the country are converging on sydney for this. i've been looking forward to it for half a year and never have we been so close to getting marriage equallity. its even more imperitive now for people to come since our spineless PM said she thinks it should be put to a concience vote which could mean we don't get our demands.

I had to wait almost two hours to see an adviser today at my school.

After leaving, I saw I missed the first 30 minutes of French class, so I skipped it.

The fact that my mum is so hard to talk to on the phone. I have to force myself to do small talk with her.

I take up the entire love seat when I post on WP in the living room, and my mom got pissed at me because I don't sit anywhere else.
