Nope. 2 and 3 are true.

1 is my lie. This did happen, but it was when I was 14 (after the Pac Man year). This was the last real girlfriend I had. After that I withdrew into my books :(

1. One of the old ladies who sat on the bench in the park was named Mrs. Last.

2. I once had a doctor named Fatale examine my digestive system.

3. Mr. Gulyas, a man who gave kids candies, was considered an upstanding citizen.

Nope. It’s #3. Adults thought there was something vaguely suspicious about Mr. Gulyas. I wasn’t allowed to accept candy from him.

1. There used to be a truck that drove around my town, sharpening knives. It rang a bell to announce its arrival. I thought it was really cool and wanted knives so I could sharpen them.

2. There used to be a truck that drove around my town, selling ice cream. It played an insidious song which scared me so I didn't buy ice cream even when my friends did.

3. There used to be a big bus that drove around with a library inside. Say no more.

Hmm... 1? Never heard of that one before. Hmm...mind is not as gooey, but now the left side of the back of my head has a few words for me. Lovely.

The left side of the back of my head is where my stroke was. lol. Honestly. Beware of sudden, involuntary break-dancing on the floor or an inability to speak.

My lie was 2. I didn't like the ice cream song at all, and it scared me, but what kid doesn't buy ice cream?

I googled. lol. It was the same type of macabre music box sound, but a different melody. (Whew)!

I liked the song, though it was in a different neighborhood.

In our neighborhood, it was Good Humor. There was no song. Only little cymbal/bells.

On the Good Humor truck, circa 1972:

1. You can get a red, white, and blue rocket for 15 cents.

2. Strawberry shortcake for 25 cents.

3. Chocolate Fudgecake for 30 cents.

1. I went to an amusement park with a friend when I was about twelve. Something along the lines of your Evan story happened. Something creepy but I don't remember the details.

2. I went to a fashion show at a college with a friend in LA. Her mother was one of the designers. I thought all the outlandish clothes were ridiculous. I could only imagine waking up and seeing people walking around town like that in real life. Really?! Bizarre.

3. I went to a friend's house to spend the night when I was about eight. I left because her mother wanted me to sleep in a sleeping bag, which I can't do because I have to have my feet exposed. She thought I was crazy.
