Elder had his first moment of using the special toileting thing - ie being toilet trained (delayed bcuz of therapists then delayed equipment then XHs own refusals--actually nurse Irene had already had him mid--way trained but these ludicrous therapisys forbade her and made a big deal out of starting fresh with data.. If its working let her!
Sick lady .. Its all about ego and making their charts look more dramatic so they get all the credit. Irene had him there at age 4 and this moron..who was XHs friend (conflict of interest!!) Who had just started her own company and was a jerk to me and the nurses though we never said anything... Ugh

Anyway.. He succeeded at it, his FIRST time using it, and was v happy as was everyone else

I finally got a Relay service on my phone, because of my speech impairment.

I can type phone numbers onto my laptop, type the messages or questions I need to ask on the phone, and someone else will place the calls / do the speaking for me (even waiting on hold as needed), and then type me the replies.

I'm in heaven!

This is seriously the best and most helpful accommodation I've ever been offered in my life.

(( Thank you to StarTrekker who first suggested this for people who are mute or experience phone phobia. ))

Oh wowwww!! !

It's the greatest thing ever. The Relay people placed several phone calls for me, and I was able to follow along with a text conversation by answering questions as needed on my laptop. I didn't even touch my phone. At the end I got a full transcript of each call with the date, time stamps, how many times the phone rang, how long they were on hold, the names of everyone spoken to, and the entire dialogue including me / the Relay person / the phonee.

Who needs sliced bread? This rocks.

Sounds life-changingly fantastic! :D

Although sliced bread is a hell-spawned abomination which shouldn’t be mentioned in connection with genuinely beneficial developments  :P

Nothing. Nothing will ever make me happy again. I'm not sure I'm even capable of feeling real happiness or positive emotions, anyway.
