Yes, I've tried those for night at times.
But, my ears get irritated and hurt over time.

Country music especially the song Jambalaya (On The Bayou). I love Willie Nelson to.

If it’s only a little irritation, isn’t that much better than feeling desperate?

Maybe take them off for a while, then put them back on.

Dampen the earplugs, or cut them a bit smaller.
If you dampen them just buy a lot of them and throw them out after a few uses.
You can also try a little bit of antiseptic ointment in your ear so they don't feel dry?
I know it sounds odd, but I agree it's better than rushing to a shelter or losing your mind over sound.

I do feel your pain because I'm sound-sensitive too.

I'll ask Magna to recommend something for you.
He's the king of hyperacusis and he knows a lot about earplugs / headphones.

Trying and failing to stop obsessing over:

Mister redelings
Structural engineering, SAT
Fat
Depression
Autism
Homophobia
Twelve year old social rejection, physical assault

 neural pathways

Some idiots were all 8O buddy buddy  to me. indulgent. "He got mad. You felt bad.". "you were helping people eat". "You are ok the way you are. People should not hurt your feelings."

Then when I do or say the slightest thing idiots do not like, it's  cross examination

Do not tell me "did you get mad at Dave when he refused to call you by your boys name".

Discrimination

Tell me what you did wrong. Apologize. Fix it. Do not do that or anything else like it ever again.

Not "you're mad!". As if nobody should ever be "mad"

But there are justified reasons for anger. For example, homophobia.

Making people laugh is like, showing them you want them to be happy

But happiness is overrated

Happy could be a goal

But not the largest or only goal

And whose happiness?

"That's sad", reptiles say in sympathy

Everything is happy, sad, or neither

As if to imply nothing should ever be sad

I know it’s hard, caThar.

I wish there were easy solutions.

It’s true that we are not feeling what you’re feeling. We can’t know the extent of your feelings.

But we do know that you should be encouraged to make smart choices, rather than impulsive choices.

We are in your side. We don’t mean to criticize at all.

I listened to the “Hump” song, by the way.

Good music drowns out bad sounds.

Just to say the others have good points and we are all with you.

I couldn't think of anything to say, and I'm still rather new here and I guess I feel like it'd be stepping out of bounds or something, but I also sympathize and I hope things improve.

Thanks.
KraftieKortie (I think I spelled that right.)
You had me laughing when I saw you listened to that song.
I've been in my room all day today.
I was actually listening to music and singing before we talked about this.

This is usually what happens when I'm scared and depressed. I want to run away. But, before that I sometimes hide myself in my room to keep myself from doing that. Also to just get away. Another form of running I think.

I hope a good solution comes up.
I want to be able to do good.

I think that in caThar4G's best interest, we all deserve a video of kortie dancing to Humps.

Today my only friend told me that she wants to bake muffins and cookies for the aikido idiots, to reward them for pushing her car

Making a mountain out of a molehill

Rolando and the customer had nothing better to do. They were not in a hurry. They did nothing difficult. Baking cookies takes too much energy and time.

Some people are allergic to nuts, milk, etc

They might not eat the cookies

Then it's wasted energy

She's in coding boot camp 45 hours a week. She took the car to get fixed. Baking cOokies. Friends. Aikido. Chess. Cold f**k she does a lot of things

Being clean is inconvenient.

Staph, ringworm, pinworms, tapeworm, scabies

Today and last Sunday, immediately after touching Rolando, legs itchy and scratchy

Even though washed hands, no good

f**k Rolando

That penis does not often take showers

Felt like gorging

Appetite out of control

I wish, I was smart enough to understand *practice* what is brought up under the ‘real life’ folder here:
