Watched against my better judgement a lame vid on y9utube called ‘whats the worst thing someone ever said to u?’

I realize ppl have different tolerance levels and contexts and they cannot tell the entire story in one snapshot. However the majority

of these ‘most hurtful’ things were so mild compared to things I had been told n encountered on a daily basis till recently. One girl’s mom told her she was stupid one time when she couldn’t figure out a math problem. That’s the worst thing? Wow you got off easy.

A boy walked past the girl’s desk in 3rd grade and told her ‘you’re stupid.’ Wow. That’s it? She was so mad about it still too, as a 30 or 40 something. No ‘go kill yourself, ugly, disgusting, cover your face, loser, freak, die already, etc’ on a daily basis while being kicked by white girls with trashy parents who encouraged it, accordng to one. No family regularly saying n doinb way worse things than ‘stupid.’ No .. whatever happend recently from 2011 to 2018.
‘Stupid’
‘Your cheeks are fat’
Wow.
People are either really weak or I just had a tougher life than them.

you had a tougher life.

I doubt it. ‘Stupid’ is an ordinary playground level insult used regularly by little kids in North America.

I went to 4 different schools in Canada in different cities of different $$ statuses, and ‘stupid’ and ‘fat cheeks’ is mild compared to what children would say to each other regularly and even to teachers-
They even used r rated insults

even if they weren’t as overtly racist and cruel as my grade 4-6 experiences.

The only school I didn’t hear anything like that in N America was a private Islamic school where kids were v kind. I hear private Catholic schools are also strict about no insults and getting along.

That’s why I am surprised by this video. Maybe the flaw lies in the way it was filmed- didn’t give ppl a chance to expand on it and why that particular time it impacted them so much.

It’s also the way something was said and the way the person continued to treat u after and tried to hurt u.

So maybe the boy who said that also subsequently tried to show hostility to her in ways u cannot explain in a short video clip etc, but that phrase sets off ths bad memories

Some incidents mentioned (eg a girl discovered she had been drugged n raped but polics said they cd not press charges( were quite heart wrenching in and of themselves

Then to place smthing like ‘u have fat cheeks’ in between big things like that n flashing so quickly not giving viewers a chance to process one frm the other made some seem laughable in comparison to a major bad thing that u are still trying to absorb

So definitely the way it was made (flashing quickly n giving them barely a chance to explain the context) wasn’t best for such a subject

Finding employment even though, it seems some persons are not taking all of my skill sets seriously.
Somehow, I feel like the autistic teenager whom struggled with finding working;wherein, he wound up creating a small business himself with help from his mom making cakes..

Worst thing anyone ever said to me - I'm shortening this and simplifying it but: 'do whatever I say or you'll die on a dark damp Friday night under my hand'... At the time he meant it too although he was steaming so not sure if he remembered by morning.

I call people stupid and get called stupid all the time, people who have an issue with that are babies. I say it to people I like and people I like say it to me. People who mind it have to grow up

I'm tempted to go back on Twitter. Good things about twitter 1 good patter 2 get to talk to people from all over 3 people 'get me' 4 get to be open and frank about opinions unlike Reddit where you can't be too passionate or real life where it's a real bad idea to be too honest at least in the neighbourhood, in class you have to be like on Twitter 5 good humour on there. Bad things about Twitter 1 people hate me on there and I'd be following the same people as before 2 it isn't anonymous 3 echo chambers are bad for me 4 men are obsessed with asking for photos...

I think I'll do the Clarissa poem tomorrow. It shows I know about posh things like English literature. I want to vent against certain types and she sums up the sort of snobbish attitudes. The real woman she was based on thought she owned our garden and she didn't... And the whole class will be basically on my side if I do it. And it is about a flat rather than being mostly about other things.

Yeah ‘stupid’ among the mildest most juvenile ‘insults’ .... as u say u can even say it to ppl u care about and it’s no big deal
If that’s the worst that’s happened and there is no further context for why that hurt u decades later, like that’s all there is to the story, you had a pretty blessed life!

I hate Twitter, it’s really unhealthy fr me. My little sis actually disabled her account bcuz it really messes with the way you think, n ppl are now hounding my brother to force her to return.

Just got a call frm XH tht they identified the bacteria in my son’s g tune infection it’s strep n now XH has it too :(

I didnt know that i just knew he felt sick-
but I made him a tea with special medicinal honey n nutmeg n cinammon to help this morning when he dropped them off.
He said it hadn’t helped n he is getting antibiotics

Hope he gets well soon.

Aye there are some right extreme types on the twitter I go on but at least there was nobody on there with an inferiority complex. Reddit is full of people with inferiority complexes who don't see when we're good.

Of course this is all subjective, it depends on what you're following and who you're following. I'm comparing like with like and who I'd choose to follow.

In real life I get idiots who pick apart slight phrases and think I'm the political opposite to them when I'm on the same side. I've suffered quite a bit for being on the same side but I'm not going to be pedantic over language or lie and pretend we're perfect.

The penultimate class for a course I'm taking is later on today.

I feel that I will be distracted by 'inner chatter' if I give into a temptation to read quotes about rudeness whether through google image results or wikiquote.

I did not last in a job until I started my own business. That way I set my own standards and my own schedule. Works for me.

Three days until I can walk and drive again. I hope.

Can't stand people right now. They get too f*****g sensitive when I say I hate a certain movie while they try to defend it as some sort of sacred, untouchable masterpiece that I should never dare talk s**t about it. Even my mom has gone there when I've expressed interest in a different adaptation of the same story and tried to get my younger brother into it. I mean, Jesus f*****g Christ, woman, you're acting like I showed him a f*****g hentai! Let him choose for himself what he wants to watch. As long as it's age appropriate, I don't see any problem with that.

I find it sad how half way through courses half the class mates drop out.

I try not to blame myself.

It's their stamina.

It happens on almost every course. No wonder they make sure 10 people start the course. Without that, there'd be a risk of the class collapsing completely half way through.

For the first time in my life, I'm around people in real life who agree with me politically. Hope that bodes well for the city.

I found out, in no uncertain terms, why my mother thinks I'm useless.

In some ways "life" is like a video game

For example you are trying to get something (job, friends), and avoid something (disease, "bad guys")

Except that "you don't get a second chance"

Yeah, there is no Re spawn button, nor extra lives as a way of stating such..
