A bit of disappointment due to something not turning out the way I had expected.

Even with the best of intentions, I still managed to fail at writing another sonnet. I think my creative side hates me because it generates very strong drives to create without providing any inspiration or competence.

Thinking about the time in High School that an old friend of mine said that she loves eating and how it's a hobby. She does her hobby well. I just hope she doesn't keel over.

A kid at the school where I teach has holes in his clothes and he gets to school early just to get away from his household. That is sad.

Yes. One of the teachers at school is getting him a new belt since he hasn't got one. I told my wife about him, and we are going to get him clothes as soon as I find out his size from his intervention specialist. My wife said she would like to get him a new coat, some new pants and shirts, and socks that fit him. When I told her about him this evening on our way to eat, she began crying. I am saddened by his condition too.

I also feel sad for that boy and I haven't even seen or met him. I really hope that you can help him out.

that's really nice. there used to be a dinnerlady at my school i remember more than all my teachers. she bought the scruffy poor boy who got made fun of new trousers, and things like that. she gave me a teddy on my birthday which i thought was because she liked me, now i realise it was because i was a bit of weird loner ha

I can't get that boy off of my mind this evening. I am one of the Title I teachers in our middle school, so I am in one of his classes---but he is served by an intervention specialist rather than by me. But sometimes I help him when the intervention specialist is busy somewhere else.

This morning I got to school earlier than usual---over a half hour before students arrive---so it is very quiet when I get there. I had set down in my room and I heard a knock on my window. It was still dark out. I went to the window and it was that boy looking in. I motioned for him to come to the door and I would let him in (the doors were still locked). He was trembling from the cold and his face was red. I guessed he had been dropped off earlier than usual and he was left to wait in the cold. I learned from other teachers today that his home life isn't that great. And we began talking about his clothes. And I really began noticing just how badly he needs good clothes.

I appreciate those of you that have responded on this thread that care too. This boy really needs a break. And I hope things work out for him. It is suspected by some of us (we haven't seen his records though) that he is autistic.
