The hilarious reviews Americans have posted on Tripadvisor about Brighton Beach

Only in Britain can a collection of rocks be called a "beach?" Wait: that is also true of parts of Cape Cod. Oh well: like Herring Cove Beach in Province town, Brighton town is far more interesting than the place where you spend your sunning hours.

We so desperately wanted to fit in a trip to the seaside on our holiday and sadly we chose Brighton. It was the most filthy beach I have ever been to. There were dead fish everywhere, broken alcohol bottles strewn across the stones. Construction sites everywhere you looked. Not the peaceful retreat we had hoped for. Next time we'll go elsewhere.

This place looks perfect from a distance! The shops are nice, clean, blue water, and free beach chairs. The catch is it’s all rocks and no sand it hurt bad enough walking to the water in flip flops. I can’t even walk on it barefoot or lay down there.
