Rain storm outside while it's been quiet and peaceful in the house. Nice just sitting and relaxing on the couch for a moment.

I successfully hacked some 30+ year old encrypted binary files for which there was no longer a key.

The data therein is incredible -- it explains why a lot of decisions were made and jobs lost back in the early 1980s.

i removed most of the excess early reflection reverb from a home-made recording the late roy orbison made, now am in the process of EQing it to sound less like it was recorded on a portable cassette deck in his living room.

Puppy snuggles, as usual  Merlin is pretty much always ready to cheer me up with a cuddle.

Found a well made ribbon shirt in a free box today. I've always wanted one.
Made me mostly happy, also some other group of emotions.

Why would someone make a recording less grim and necro sounding? Recorded on a portable cassette deck in one's living room is a good start, but ideally you want your mixes to sound like they were recorded in a dark forest on an ancient answering machine.
