My therapist wants me to focus on writing and practicing the guitar instead of constantly thinking about how I don't have a girlfriend but I just can't stop. I also haven't been to the gym since last week despite how I only went once two weeks ago.

yes! pls write and practice guitar and go to the gym.

I've said it before , Rocksmith on PC is awesome , it's proven to be the fastest way to learn guitar

I'm not too sure about how I feel about working with employment counsellors any longer. The one I know of currently is definitely a nice person but it doesn't really change the quasi-futility of what is available in the labour market within a certain time span and distance from me where I can actually meet expectations unambiguously.

Speaking from experience when it comes to facial expressions no (after the fact that what it takes to ‘get a person’ emotional varies by country). When it comes to non-facial body language not as much as you might think (think still being able to be understood for tourism/customer service purposes).
