my point being that studies have shown we dream 99% of the time but we only remember a fraction of said dreams.

I had a dream where me and my dad were on our way to my cousin's house, as I was to stay over with them again. My dad was on his cell phone talking to my cousin about casual things, while I was just looking at the road. I knew we were going to surprise my cousin and husband by coming there without prior warning. (A strategy full of folly.) Anyway, I suddenly was walking through the door and looking to my right where the living room was. While staring at the right, I walked straight to the table which was right in the kitchen. (It's in a seperate room next to the kitchen in reality.) I think I seen what was a baby laying on it's back on the table. (My cousin is pregnant too...)

Anyway, my cousin's husband came out of nowhere with a game disc in his hand. (By the way, my actual cousin never showed up while I was looking around to see if I spotted her.) He told me he nearly broke the disc. I asked him did he hated CoD: Ghosts that much. He then flipped over the disc to reveal ''Ratchet and Clank 2''. I was confused, as I thought I had got it from my last visit. He gave it back to me to put it back within my Ratchet and Clank case. He went over to the TV and started playing a game that played similar to Ratchet and Clank. (Well, the combat aspect, that is.) He was in this small room stocked out with moniters and a yellow teleporter at the back. He went into the teleporter and warped into a empty green grided room. After he somehow warped out, he went back to the teleporter and popped back into the room. He left again, and popped up into the moniter room again. Then he was about to leave, as the metallic door was blown off by an explosion, followed by a bulky man entering the scene, donning armor that looks like a plain brown shirt, with a band of armor on his muscles. (Not practical at all!) He suddenly pulled out shruikens and threw each individual one at each arm, leg, and at his chest. (He basically ripped off one of Noob Saibot's fatalities.) He was about to throw one at the character's head, when the character somehow got away. (I forgot how.)

Then my dream ended...

I've just had a dream.

There was a lot of travel involved. Oh, and a supermarket, I was buying hummus. Matthew Wright was serving me and Jonathon Ross was in front of me. he's who I got the hummus idea from.

I said to Matthew wright "So is this gonna be Waitrose or Aldi prices"?

He said "Aldi"

So I said "Good, that's what I like to hear".

I had two weird dreams last night, and talked in my sleep.

First I had a dream about losing Spain behind the sofa after being chased by a giant centipede. I don't remember anything else, but apparently I was saying "I've lost it! They won't like me any more! NO! The centipede ate Thailand! It ate it! I only have Poland left!"

Later I dreamt that I was standing in a room full of chihuahuas, and I couldn't move in case I stood on one. Unfortunately, I had to get out so I could go to bed before the Ofbed (a pun on Ofsted: the Office for Standards in Education ) inspectors came or I would lose my place in the bed.

I dreamt I was in my late parents' house, along with my sister and some unknown acquaintances of hers. it was dark and gray outside, the beginning of a typical northwest pacific gale, and the windspeed was 45 miles per hour and rising, the house was starting to rock a bit, bits of treebranch were flying through the air and slapping at the windows and roof and sides of the house. the power went out at one point, everybody was cowering inside behind the windows, looking outside while the windows were bowing inward from the winds outside. the door to the garage somehow was opened by the wind and the cat zoomed in with a frightened expression on its face. a disco version [sans low-pitched instruments and rhythms] of the Andrews sisters' "boogie woogie bugle boy" was playing somewhere during all of this, improbably above the cacophony of the moaning and roaring winds, as though it was on a separate soundtrack. then I awoke. :alien:

Damn!

You and your sister, and friends, are all "weathering a storm" together.

Its in your parents' house- suggesting a generational dimension.

And the song "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" somehow leaks into the soundtrack.

Dont know about you, but that particular Forties novelty song is ripe with meaning. Its a happy bouncy tale about a pop musician joining the army, but its both of ,and about, the dark moment in history when America was forced to respond to Pearl Harbor and enter World War Two. So if you think about it- the song may not be the nonseqitar that it appears to be at first glance.

I wonder if the symbology of it leads into the thought that chILL winds are blowing towards greater and nastier disorder on earth that you and me and the man behind the tree will all live to see?

Exactly.
Could be symbolic of a sense of foreboding you already have about the state of the nation/world. Or it could be about some family thing you going through now. Or perhaps both.

Had a dream a couple years ago that involved being caught in a storm that coincided with a family crises we were going through at the time.

But your dream may have some kind of wider society symbolism.

funny about the punny way our subconscious mind communicates to our conscious mind via our dreams.

keep a notepad and pen by your bedside, as soon as you can write down keywords in a narrative flow [IOW one keyword followed by the next event represented by a keyword, etc.] dreams are stickier if you replay them several times in your head as soon as you are aware.

I had a dream that I was sleep walking last night.

I was a bit confused when I woke up because I thought that I had actually been sleepwalking.

The only difference was, was that in my dream I fell asleep on the stairs outside my flat.

I dreamt that some heretofore unknown relative [I think an aunt] who I previously had seen just a few minutes before in a mental picture, had dropped in to visit, after [apparently] warning my older sister that she would arrive this day. compared to her mental picture, this silver-haired slender lady [wearing a white trenchcoat] had the mumps, and nobody in the dream seemed worried they would catch them. we all were staying in some guest room at some big hospital, and I was tasked with driving them both [along with my brothers] in a truck someplace north for some recreation, but before I could do that I had to return several trays of dirty dishes [hospital food] to the kitchen dishwasher, and to do that I had to steer a cart laden with said dishes through mobs of patients waiting for their appointments at various places. it was a pretty hospital with shiny red clay-esque tiled floors and golden wallpaper with artworks on the walls every so many feet as well as many large potted plants, and I tried to enter through a shortcut [a card-slider thingie to keep out non-employees] when an employee opened the door and exited- a person up close to the door entered and then pointedly slammed the door shut so nobody afterwards could enter, and I cursed at this jerk in the dream calling him an as*hole. at this point my brothers were following me to the kitchen, and I laboriously [due to the jerk keeping me from entering the shortcut] wove around seas of more patients before after a seeming eternity arrived at the kitchen dishwashing section, where I offloaded the cart which had some personal effects of my sisters/guest and brothers I had to put in one of those plastic hospital puke buckets. I noted then that all the food was only partially eaten as though it were sampled and found unpalatable. then I awoke.

Weird dream...I do not really remember dreams, I used to remember them well as a child and teen, but I have not for a long time. Once in a while, I remember a night terror of sorts that is horribly scary and makes no sense, but it is not just a "weird dream". The most recent one, I was in a very dark forest, the entire setting felt of impending doom, it was kind of windy, there is an abandoned railroad station, like really abandoned, like something that was from the 1800s and just got left to rot. I felt there had been a death in or around this station, I got a feeling that someone's body was hidden in a wall or under the floor. I left the station and I go back to the woods, trying to leave, then the path goes away and there are trees all over, like they want to smother me, then I touch one of the trees and it grows a face with very little features and no expression, almost like some hollow mask.

Then I woke up sweating. I wonder if I would have gotten along well with Poe.
