This mug is supposed to be microwave and dishwasher safe, but apparently it can't handle a little hot water.

The thing cracked very loudly as I poured and started leaking half brewed tea everywhere. :?

Hmm.
My cat decided to do her business a few inches away from the litter box, rather than inside of it, one of my rats bit me and my internet isn't working properly. ):

the peking duck.

i went to woolworths to get whatever caught my eye for dinner, and what caught my eye was a package with peking duck in it that told me i could get crispy skin if i cooked it in a "hot" oven for 10 minutes.

what?!?! 10 minutes?!

i regularly cook honey soy chicken wings in the oven, and it takes 40 mins at about 200 C to produce a well cooked dish.

these turkey breasts were substantially larger, and so i was unsure of how they could be cooked in 10 minutes only.

then i read on the packet that they had already been cooked in the factory, and i was just reheating them.

my worry was placated.
as the duck breasts were roasting in the oven, i went to the computer and researched "peking duck",
and i found that it is famous in it's authentic version for the crispiness of it's skin.

i also read that in the authentic presentation, the dish contains mostly crackling crispy duck skin (with a succulent sauce for dressing) with less actual duck meat, but my experience was a horrid waste of $10.50. the duck skin was soggy and not crunchy, and the meat was bland and dry and infuriating.

i did not eat much of it, but i drank a 600ml chocolate milk as my finishing drink, so i am not hungry or annoyed now.

The fact that it's clouding over and -5 degrees. If it snows, I can't work tomorrow.

Went for a long walk and came back depressed from the desolate scenery. Ah well, it usually takes a few days for the anti-depressant effect to set in, anyway.

My.freaking.mind.can't.stop.thinking.about.him.

I'm fat.

And, I have lost any respect I had for him because he didn't like church leaders telling him how to live his life YET he was ok reading anti-mormon crap that told him how to think....instead of pondering it himself. How ironic. Then again, my entire life is ironic, so why wouldn't it be???

Oh, and apparently my grandma likes hats, I don't want to be like her. :|
