Ironically he (Oliver) has spent the last few years doing Coast Australia and Coast NZ TV series.

I do enjoy his history channel documentaries. So what does he say about the advent of the Anglo-Saxons in Britain? I notice no historian dares touch that subject with a proverbial barge pole.

Each historian has his own opinion on this account, so it's so difficult to determine what is closer to the truth

There's like 100 different theories on how it is we came to be communicating in this language....

I'm a 50 year old man who just spent ten minutes standing outside Sainsbury's crying quietly because I was to scared to go in even tho I have my sunflower lanyard, my disabled bus pass, and a letter from my specialists.

All I wanted is some cola.

I feel pathetic.

Ah bless you, you are not alone.

I have to remind myself to breath as I can get really anxious and scared.

I have to wait until about 10pm to go to a small local shop otherwise it is too much for me.

Hugs, big ones.

I imagine the red-faced gammon brigade don't like reading about Anglo-Saxon origins. "What, us, descended from European immigrants? Nonsense!" So it's not a popular subject for popular history books.... (The history section in my local library would be better termed the "World War section.")

Solidarity! I'm a shaking wreck when I make it back from my weekend shopping these days.

You're unlikely to be challenged for not wearing a mask. Silently judged by selfish idiots who only started wearing them when the law said they had to, maybe.

My shopping trips are planned out. List of items needed in my pocket, I think through the route I am going to take in there, I go either late in the day or as it opens so its quiet, I wear headphones and I use self service checkout.

Get back in the car and breath

I saw my first Aggressive Anti-Maskers a couple of hours ago, on my bus back from work. Striking a blow for liberty by intimidating the driver. I feel sorry for sensible Americans who have been putting up with millions of such raging douchenozzles for months now.

Not good. I haven't been on a bus since late February (used to use them almost daily), but have ventured out on the Greater Manchester tram system about a dozen times since then.

People will believe what they want to believe if it fits with what they want.

I have got so tired of having to explain why people can't come visit.

No I am not some over-anxious prison warden with no empathy for others needs to see family.

But I will protect my family to the end.

I live in Gtr Manchester England
Our little town is on the verge of lockdown, our infection rate is 4 times the national average.., the next town has THE highest infection rate of the whole UK .. and yet seemingly everyone under the age of 35 have been crowding into pubs and pub car parks or BBQs or house parties Friday night and last night ! !

These idiots will now be passing the virus ( probably unknowingly) onto their own parents/ grandparents and extended friends / family .

Last night in a semi detached house across from us there were around 20 under 18’s partying away until 5:30am - no sign of the girl’s dad at all ..
