My mental health is really struggling and I have to go to the doctor and talk about my mental health and I'm scared to because she'll ask questions about the stuff I don't want to talk about in front of my mother.

people with ASPD are incapable of feeling guilt on account of somebody else they hurt.

^ I think it's anti social personality disorder. In other words psychopathy.

"Hurt" is too vague

Everything either "helps", neither or "hurt"

You can't guarantee just the first two

And it's "hurt" according to the alleged victims standards

Seriously

Not all "hurt" is a Mandated Reporter violation

Not all "help" is a Purple Heart Award

Precious lil "people" act so innocent

Especially counselors

Living things have to "hurt" other living things to remain alive

Carbon footprint

"Help" sounds like the counselor dragged my worthless corpse out of a burning building

All she did was sit around flapping her stupidass trap

Exaggeration

"Hurt" could be physical, or emotional

Intention, legality, morality and logic and factual accuracy do not matter

Anyone could correctly claim anything "hurt" them

told me "go back to your country. I light your ass on fire!"

And "you make people uncomfortable with the way you dress"

Both statements are correct

Because I "hurt" their eyeballs

No because it's just the GP in order to maintain my benefit and it's a new GP.

It should be enough to have social anxiety and autism to the extent I have it but if she starts asking honest questions about mental illness, other things are affecting that and I don't want mum to know that.

They really want you to "earn" the benefit----by answering intrusive questions.

Why would your mother be present in the appointment?

Because when I was more ill than I am now (I had a breakdown), I couldn't handle going to the doctor or talking to the doctor without her there and I still can't handle the financial side/paper work of this. She's an appointed guardian.

Yeah, I know they do Kraftie. It's really unfair especially for people who have more severe end mental issues or learning difficulties and live alone. It's the kind of intrusion which probably has a mental toll even when someone's disability is primarily physical.

It's because they want to cut all funding but they can't come out and do that so they say people aren't filling in the necessary paperwork.

Ironically, in my experience most benefits cheats aren't cheating through laziness but through greed - taking cash in hand jobs while also being on job seekers' or these disability ones. So if they really want to cut waste, they ought to police industries which attract cash in hand better.

(Apparently cash in hand isn't an expression used in America so I'm sorry if that sounds rude. What I mean is that some jobs you can just get people to give you money in cash, the government don't find out about it and it goes untaxed and doesn't affect benefits - illegal cheating)

But I'm not cheating, it's just that I need my benefits to carry on like normal.

Perhaps she can stay with you to do the paperwork and financial arrangements, and she can help you meet the new doctor so you feel comfortable. Then when it gets to the time of discussing personal issues, you could ask her to step out? (There's a good chance your doctor will ask if you want her present at that point, regardless). I'm sure your mother would understand your need for privacy with the more delicate topics.

Either way, good luck with this. I hope it goes well.

Be strong KT!

Coming up with an explanation as to why I didn't attend my group therapy session last week.

I arrived late at the clinic where I see my counselor, but last week I was only able to do my individual session.

Happy Birthday, Grace.

I have been thinking today, while trying to catch up on the May paperwork, but new and more phone calls for June keep coming into my office: Take note calendar publishers: June cannot start until my May paperwork is done. :D
