I think I know what you mean, I'm not sure.
Snow isn't common here, to the point that everyone yells "yay it's snowing!" whenever one or two flakes fall, though the past two years have been pretty bad, so they ended up saying "Wish it was bloody summer".
You can't please us here in the UK!
