Great Japanese singer; famous for "Ue wo muite arukou" (which is what is my avatar; the cover of that song.) It was the first (and only, thus far) song completely in Japanese in the US to top the Billboard charts back in 1963. Great song, I think; melancholy tone with a bit of optimism thrown in. My favorite song to sing, honestly, as well... "Ue wo muite arukou" roughly translates into "Looking up while walking." It's become a standard Japanese love song, though it went under the name "Sukiyaki" in the US, which is funny because that's a Japanese food... It would be like Japanese people naming a famous song sung in English "Hamburger" because the original title sounded "too American/English"... :lol:

I liked this version when I was little. It was when I went searching for it later that I found the original and discovered it was way better.

An image from the film,"Phatasm II" which fans of the series considered to be a abomination of the franchise, but still, not a bad film overall..Actually, I once had the opportunity to meet reggie bannister though not in person but, rather online.Still, was interersting..
