This girl from work has called like 3 times in the last 15 minutes. All she said is something about a day on the schedule book. Presumably a day she wants me to switch with her for. I just worked YESTERDAY, a day I was supposed to be off, for her. Now shes calling again today. And I know there will be several more calls before the day is over.

I HATE when people from work call. They KNOW I do not answer my phone and it is a pointless and futile effort. If I am not on the clock or On Call then I have no obligation to speak to any of them. Its my day off and I'm going to spend it however I like. I don't care if your kids have a dentist appointment tomorrow and no one will switch days with you. I don't care if your mother in law is having a birthday this weekend and you have to work. Appointments, birthdays, etc are ALL things you know of in advance and can plan for accordingly. Its not my fault you wait until the week before to do anything about it. If my appointment falls on a day I have to work, I call and reschedule my appointment to coincide with one of my days off. Its very simple, yet these people can't seem to grasp this elementary concept. What burns me up even more is the fact that my phone number is so readily available to whom ever wants it. Its in a folder that easily accessible to everyone and I think this is wrong. It should only be available to the manager and the charge nurse. NO EXCEPTIONS. I see it as a violation in privacy.

Sorry, I just had to vent. :wall:

This video made me deeply hate simon cowl. I can imagine him acting like that to someone with an ego problem, but here is a genuinely nice guy who just came to play and see if it gets him somewhere. Wonderful performance as well. The musicianship it takes to hit those notes is huge and he did it almost perfectly.

He died after this too, I think.

As posted in the "Got something random to say?" thread.

I especially hate it when that happens to my mom. She always ends up coming home late, and I have to deal with the house longer since my sister is a lazy bump on a log. :|

Is she a nurse? My heart goes out to those people. They get to work at about 6:30am, and a lot of them don't end up leaving til 8pm or 9.

I just got out of the hospital earlier. I had to get up a 6:00 and go in for surgery to correct a really uncomfortable and large hydrocele in my left ball. I'm pretty much confined to bed right now, since walking around is quite painful. My day is only getting better though; I'm getting some much needed rest, and within a couple of weeks I shouldn't have to deal with an enlarged, painful ball any more.

No. She's an emergency crew dispatcher for NW Natural. She handles stuff like gas leaks, explosions, etc.

Realized that even if I get my normal 200 tomorrow, I will not beat a rival on here for post rank just yet....
