@artrat: I understand that inability to understand sarcasm :/ I can't tell sarcasm or a joke unless a comment is dripping with sarcasm. I appear to have no sense of humor as well, BECAUSE I can't tell a joke from seriousness.
@Tim Tex: The only music game show I know of is "Don't forget the lyrics", Canadian / American game show.

Hello unpopular members! WP has made me feel left out a depressed yet again. :(

I don't understand some of the sarcasm which makes me feel inferior and dumb.
I am pretty sure it was used to insult me. I expressed an unpopular opinion and I then get treated like crap.

Many people on here don't care what others think about them but I do.
When someone is apathetic, sarcastic and mean to me then I get upset.

I asked people to explain the sarcasm but they just ignored me.
Am I the only aspie that doesn't understand sarcasm? WP seems to be very sarcastic.
Sometimes I feel that I am not welcome here.

I understand that you seem to have found your place on fb close-knit groups and I cant blame you since they won me over as well but Im going to try to address your message

This is a great place artrat but it attracts plenty of people that may not be nice towards each other.
No matter how hard you try there are always going to be some people that dont like what you do and will try to shame you(I for example was recently accused of harassing a member just because I dared to question his opinion and suggested him to do some research).
Now I could have thrown a tantrum, I could have reported him for making false accusations and I could have even given him a warning about it on that thread(which is what happened with other members when I started with the mod thing). Instead I closed that window and Im going to avoid him from now on because its simply impossible to please everyone and some people are going to complain no matter what you do.

That being said there are quite a few sarcastic posts on those close-knit fb groups so I wouldnt burn any bridges just yet

I've just come to this most unusual train of thought; when i first met my bf online, it seemed a lot like I had found the male version of me. Now I realize even tho we have A LOT in common, that he's actually somewhat what I would be as an NT o.O a lot of interests and skills are different, but that's entirely from personality and upbringing :3

Lol strange epiphony eh? xD

Why would some one with autism want to be popular? It needs to be asked

Autism = Loner and don't care. many of us get it hardwired into our brain from a young age that it matters making matters far worse....

It's akin to Lance Armstrong with training wheels why would you try to win the tour of your life being burdened by useless add ons , as if the race of your life wasn't challenging enough as it is.

Can't we take this thread down? This thread is almost as dangerous as Autism TV in it's messages, I can think of nothing worse than keeping some one entertained and amused can you ?

I think that having grown to 18 pages this thread evidently means much more to the other posters than it does to you, aussiebloke - so it seems a little unfair for you to ask for it to be taken down.

If you don't agree with it then why not just ignore it?

It's not about being popular. I really don't care about that but I don't want to be invisible in every part of my life either.
Autism does not mean loner and I don't know where you got that from.
Saying that is more dangerous then this thread. Trying to kill hopes and dreams of other aspies is a bit cruel.
If I believed a word that you just said then I would kill myself right now.

he complains an awful lot about popularity for a member who claims not to care. i don't think i fully understand the reasoning there
