Surgical intervention. I've probably said it before but it keeps refreshing on me just how much better this is. I was loading things into the car and just stopped for a second and thought "holy shite, I'm moving easily now."
Doing this before surgery would have been very difficult, but now, my body just moves with ease and I don't even have to think about it. :)

^^^i'm curious as to the surgery you had, if you don't mind :) I am grateful that I was able [so far, god-willing] to avoid surgery on my back as I saw what my niece had to go through :o

would that I could do both but no, I just listen to a few recordings by people such as this-

the late great j.d. sumner, long-time elvis accompanist and leader of the stamps quartet. my answering machine message, however, is in the basso profundo register on account of me having laryngitis when I recorded it

I'm all for surgery. I had technically three abdominal surgeries last year, which corrected a problem that had been causing me debilitating chronic pain and made it possible for me to end an addiction I was using to cope with the pain. It's awesome.
Right now and very often, I'm actually intensely grateful for the fact that I don't have children. It could have happened so easily in my 20's when I was even further behind the social curve than I am now. I could have babies, or even school aged to teenage children by now. Sograteful I don't have kids, and will never have genetic children of my own.

I'm very grateful for living in a region of the world where there is peace, plenty of food, clean water, good health service, and ready access to sources of knowledge, not censored by the government.

I'm also grateful that I am in good physical health and reasonably good mental health, and that I grew up under the care of a fantastic mother who raised me into the man I am today. :)

I'm grateful for the fact that I have such good living standards. Growing up in Sweden I was first ignorant about how the rest of the world lived. Thankfully I've travelled a lot in my life and thankfully I'm curious enough to explore other people's cultures to realize that my life is fine. I have the water I need, the food I need and I can go to school for free.

I'm also thankful for Ethan Kath deciding to carry on Crystal Castles without Alice.
