1. I'm fascinated as to the differences between butterflies and moths.

2. I'm fascinated as to why animals west of the Wallace Line seem to be reluctant to migrate (on their own) east of the Wallace Line. The Wallace line is located at the longitude of the middle of the Island of New Guinea.

3. I'm fascinated as to which song is the first Rock and Roll song.

From a music friend: the rhythm of rock and roll started from the rhythm of steam engines.

I don't know what the first song would be.

I've never heard of the Wallace Line. Is it like a Bermuda Triangle?

I pick 1.

#1 is correct. I like butterflies a little better than moths; but I don't care that much about the differences between them.

The Wallace Line separates "normal" animals like lions and tigers----from Australian-type animals like kangaroos and koala bears. One would never find a kangaroo west of the Wallace Line, nor a tiger east of the Wallace line---unless it's in a zoo.

More books I've never read:

1. Little Women

2. Daughter of Earth and Water

3. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

4. The Secret Garden

one lie 8)

I think I began Little Women, but I certainly didn't finish it and I don't remember a thing.

My lie is 3. I actually read The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (the whole series), one summer when I needed to be mindless. It was actually kind of sweet.

Books I've already read that don't involve any parson's daughters or haunted moors:

1. Ruth, Elizabeth Gaskell
2. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Robert Pirsig
3. Lady Chatterley's Lover, DH Lawrence

Is it the second one?

#3. You have sort of a Victorian sense about sex and relationships. "Lady Chatterley's Lover" was rather scandalous for its time.

2 is my lie. I haven't read Zen but I think I have a copy somewhere, and I've been thinking about it lately.

1 and 3 are true. I read them in my undergrad.

1. I've read "War and Peace."

2. I've read the entirety of "Ulysses."

3. I've read "Anna Karenina."

I think 3. You've read Joyce although he baffles you.

Nope...the answer (alas) is that I've never been able to read "Ulysses" in its entirety.

1. I used to watch "Davey and Goliath."

2. I used to watch "Sunrise Semester."

3. I used to watch "Howdy Doody."

OMG I know Davey and Goliath!! "But, Daveeey! God will punish you!! !" 8)

I haven't heard of the other two.

I think your lie is likely 1, because you weren't raised with much religion.

Shows I vaguely recall, but liked:

1. Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home (animated)
2. Doctor Doctor (sit-com)
3. Hee Haw (country singers)

My Lie is #3. Howdy Doody was before my time. They had no reruns of it in the late 60s-early 70s. They had a few in the later 70s.

I watched "Davey and Goliath" quite a bit when I was young; I didn't think of it as a "religious" show. Kids were raised similar to Davey where I grew up (even though I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood).

Isabella’s lie is #2. #1 and, especially, #3 were quite prominent circa 1974.

"Wait Till Your Father Gets Home" was one of my favorites in 1973-1974---but it didn't last long.

Hee Haw lasted over 20 years, actually (actually, 28 years).

Huh. I always thought D&G was very religious because of the whole Goliath theme. Whaddu ya know.

My lie was 3. My dad loved to watch Hee Haw with my maternal grandfather, but I thought it was silly.

I liked Wait Till Your Father Gets Home and Doctor Doctor, but I think I only saw Dr. Dr. about two or three times at my cousin's house. It came out in 1989 and I always wished I'd seen more.

1. I loved Mr. Bill. I had a t-shirt and a framed poster of him waterskiing, on my wall in Uni (SNL).

2. I loved Gumby and Pokey but it was one of those mysterious shows that I never saw regularly. Gumby kind of scared me but Pokey was really cute.

3. My favourite Fisher Price toy was a wind-up television that played Row Row Row Your Boat while a picture scrolled by.
