A dream that was very much like one I had a couple months back, outside a house at night, looking at the stars. I was standing in a field or a very large backyard with my kiddo. Shooting stars began to streak across the sky, originating from a small cluster of stars which fluctuated between a blue color and a pink color. Then a hot air balloon without the basket went zooming by out of control. After that and maybe to search for it, a small one person helicopter flew overhead. Then we started getting a chill and went back inside the warm house.

You have a lot of cool metaphorical dreams. Do you ever figure out what any of them mean (to you anyway)?

The gold dust dream was....quite interesting.

Shades of the Wizard of Oz. The doctor cures you- but you're really curing yourself ( they give you a that you yourself wrote). "Oz didnt give nothing to the tin man that he didnt already have" as the song goes.

I wanted it to end there, but then it launches into that next strange chapter- the haggling about the bill- the gold dust and balls. Then it ends, literally, on that sour note of the TV guy singing badly.

Will have to think about that.

sometimes life is bitter, other times sour, still other times tasteless. it is the sweet times to treasure and savor.

strangest dream yet- i dreamt i was in a 3 story building atop a hill in a city that was indeterminate but had a strong flavor of san francisco or vancouver BC. i went there with a head shrinker i saw several decades back, he regressed in age to his late 40s and had blondish hair a bit like general custer. we walked up 3 stories and reached some boutique with fancy things in it, and at the rear was a non-descript suite of offices, a bit run-down. i entered, it was poorly lit, with the light mostly coming from a few curtained clerestory windows and from the doc's offices/records room to the left. it was fairly crowded with waiting patients as it was an ayurvedic medical clinic. i spoke with the receptionist who sent me back to one of the offices next to the records room. there i waited in another waiting room. it was sunny and yellow in that room with large windows letting in much light. one of the other patients asked me some questions about myself which i cheerfully answered but it turned out that this patient was really one of the doctors who sat in the waiting room pretending to be a friendly fellow patient in order to get more realistic information from the real patients figuring they'd be more honest. [???] meanwhile i was feeling rotten in the dream, with stuffy sinuses and much fatigue and nausea. my shrink, his name was theodore sterling, he reached around me and put me in a bear hug, and squeezed me so hard that something snapped in my back and then all of a sudden i felt GREAT! like i was so healthy! he told me i owed him $150 dollars for that, and i told him i'd take us to a cash machine to withdraw the payment, and he told me he was recently divorced and had no place to live. i gave him some comforting words and then one of the clerks in the medical office called me to his desk and showed me the prescription i was to take to the dispensary, it was basically recommendations for diet and posture control, and this book written by one "clarence sweetmore treat" who, with a start, i realized was myself! the clerk, surprised as me, said "you were prescribed to read a book you wrote!" they thought i didn't have any insurance so they were gonna charge me $40 as a poverty fee, so i whipped out my wallet to pay and out fell my insurance cards so they took them and charged my insurance $120. so i took my prescription list and headed to the stairs to meet again with dr. sterling, who was sitting down on a couch reading a magazine. i started slipping and sliding on the floor and together we looked down and noticed the floor was covered with gold dust and roundish gold balls of varying sizes coming from the air itself. some gold balls were as large as bowling balls and they were rolling everywhere and making a bit of a racket and mess. one rolled over to a miniature putt putt golf course inside the waiting area, another splashed into a small wading pool. people were looking down at the balls in wonderment and some laughed. at this point i got distracted and i walked into a sun room with glassed-in walls and ceiling, and i looked out and saw a late afternoon city scape, the sky was sunny and blue. then some employee walked in and put a video on the tv set there, and some nasty guy with a buzz saw voice in the video started singing some insipid song, and it was so awful i [and several other people] clamped hands upon ears and yelled "MAKE IT STOP!" while fleeing back into the main waiting room. then i awoke.

Had to read it again because it was so dense. First off, I think it's really funny that you associate blonde hair with Custer. I would have had no idea what color his hair was!

Maybe when we write our Blabbyism book we should use the pseudonym clarence sweetmore treat. :D I think it's kind of interesting that you didn't try to grab the gold balls, but instead it was like they were symbolic of treasure, not money - you were simply enjoying them rolling around to the miniature golf and fountain and the day and the view were beautiful. That's a lot like your personality, you kind of spread happiness and don't seem to care too much about money. When you became distracted from that, things turned ugly with the buzz saw voice. That means be true to who you are!

that is a very interesting interpretation of my dream. :thumleft: I like the idea about the pseudonym, that is a perfect one to use.

My dreams always have a nice, surreal feel to them - for example, Chester Hill is THE MOST boring suburb on the planet and despite that, in my dreams, Chester Hill has such a nice, dreamy, nostalgic feel to it to the point, when I next went to Chester Hill to catch a train, I stood at the top of the stairs at the station and thought "How the hell could anything make this craphole look good?!?!"

I never have nightmares or "adult" dreams. When I was younger, I used to have the very rare occasional nightmare but I've only ever had one "adult" dream in my entire life when I was in my teens (and I'm 47 now).

I think I'm a freak.
:alien:

P.S.

I've had lots of flying dreams

I'm in a group health examination room which sorta looks like a small conference room - the medic tells me to go wait in the waiting area- as I arrive there, I see a big warehouse-like interior with slightly decrepit-appearing industrial machinery in large groups, with workmen here and there toiling away. I'm sitting in a simple metal and vinyl chair against the back wall, along with some women holding cranky babies and waiting along with me- the din of their babies' crying almost drowned out the din from the machinery. eventually I'm wordlessly called to the exam room- there I met 3 nurses from the hospital I used to work in, they each are standing at a table with a cancerous female amputated breast on a plate upon each table, each of which are signifigantly deteriorated and diseased. each nurse looked at her assigned breast and commented somewhat breezily on it. then I walked outside into the sunshine and then awakened from the dream.

I'm in my parents' old house, they were still alive, when the doorbell rang- I opened the door and see a little boy and girl with their father standing two paces behind them- the boy asked me for some wax, to which my mom asked [him] "do you mean turtle wax?" - the children's father said, "no, body wax." my mother then stated that she didn't quite know what he means, at which point the little girl asked me if I had a dollhouse to give her- I turned around to my dad and asked him if we had one in the basement, and he told me he wasn't sure. then I awoke from the dream.

remember part of this dream- I was naked in some stranger's house, and I wanted to take a shower not to clean myself but to clean off some items that I had gotten soiled. for some reason I took an electric fan and plugged it in via a long extension cord, and turned it on while walking into the shower, I think my dream idea was to blow the water off of me so it would better clean the soiled items. however, my plans fell awry when water got on the fan and me, and shocked me, so I ran slip-sliding out of the shower while carrying the fan which was still shocking me, I tried to rip the power cord out of the wall socket but my hands were slippery wet. then awoke. :?

The last weirdest dream I had was one where 3 ghosts talked to me. In the dream my Father was drunk. Then one of the ghosts opened up a piece of paper, and the cut out said "Obama".

The next day on the news was that 3 of Obamas special secret agents had been sacked for being drunk.

Slang for Secret agent = "Spook" = Ghost

That is my latest weird dream.

I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

Hi auntblabby,

I often have dreams like that. Where I have no idea that it is precognition until the event occurs. I have no idea why I do, and in my opinion it is pointless.

my recurring problem is that things [bladder, phone or doorbell ringing et al] distract me from my dream and so it evaporates. I want to remember them all but life gets in the way too often.
