Both of my ears hurt and it's overwhelming me because I hate ear infections. It's a sharp pain.

As someone who had a ton of ear infections as a kid I sympathize with you.

Now I know for certain there's a pest big enough not to be repelled by bug sprays.

And is also big enough to have bites shown.

I had an anxiety attack while at the vintage market; it was an outdoor event and it was starting to thunder. Even though I made it to the car okay, I still feel a little embarrassed as there were a lot of people there who could have seen me.

I got woken up two times by the people living above us. :| Their kids keep running around in the early hours of the morning.

I'm still exhausted from a popop tornado warning that was produced by the remnants of Ida (around 5pm yesterday).

Our weather went from being dark and cloudy to the trees in our forest bending over and whipping around. The wind was terrifying, and the weather alerts on our phones started blaring within moments. It was a TORNADO WARNING, and the areas affected included our town. It would have been more dangerous to try to weather the storm and find a shelter, so we just got our two dogs (70lbs and 105lbs respectively) and hid in our tiny bathroom in our camper/RV. If a tornado were to hit us directly, there would be a very low chance of survival. As a result, I spent the entirety of the tornado warning having a meltdown on the floor. I'm still feeling stressed out by the whole ordeal.

That is awful. Hugs

Thanks. *hugs back*

We have more storms incoming today, so I'm feeling even more on edge. The wind gusts are still pretty intense this morning, and we can't even get out to take the dogs on their routine walk.

I'm really hoping to get out of the South soon (and into an actual house with a basement). I have been traumatized by tornadic/extreme weather the entire time I've lived here (as a child and then from 2008-the present). We've had multiple tornado warnings since we've been in this camper (since 2019), and every time it is traumatic. We were able to seek shelter at the local church during the last outbreak of storms (back in late March), but we had no time for that yesterday. I'm really relieved that we (and our neighbors) are okay. We have some limbs down on the main road, and we are hoping that we don't have any trees that fall across and block us in (the soil is saturated, and we live in an old growth forest)

-more storms from Ida incoming

-I just got the news that one of my only father figures as a child/teen had a massive heart attack 2 weeks ago. He has been on life support/a vent since then. Specialists are checking for brain activity, but they are calling in the "end-of-life support system" to help with his passing. I'm not sure of the details of his heart attack (whether it was COVID-related, etc), but I am feeling very defeated by life right now.
