got into an argument with mum this morning over going to church. she wants me to go and socialise and i told her i dont believe in god and i dont see why i should have to socialise with people at church who bore me and have nothing in common with me. she thinks im a snob and i informed her talking about other people is not my idea of good conversation and that it violates social rules. this is what makes her think im a snob and she brought up aspergers and the book she found (look me in the eye by j. e. robinson) and used it against me. this is why i dont tell people about my special interests. i have a feeling she is going to tell my dad and things are going to explode.

People that are prejudiced against rats.

We called for an apartment yesterday and asked if small caged pets were ok. They asked what kind and when we said rats they said "RATS!!?! !" and expressed concern that they would escape their cages.

This is one of my rats. I have 4.

I couldn't find the dog's towel, so I had to use one of my dad's painting rags.

I think rats are cute. They are very smart too. I had one as a pet when I was 14-16. All my friends were so afraid of her. I never understood why.
She used to climb up my sleeve and sit on my shoulder. :)

Sometimes I don't think before I speak.

I knew one of my nans was in a bad way but i just found out that my other nan is definitely dying and soon ( advanced motor neurone disease). So that's guaranteed one nan dying this year coming and probably both.

Also, I just had the most humiliating experience of my life. That'll teach me. I feel so.... well, not like its worth someone like me feeling anything, im not worth anything.

If the rat was a black rat (Rattus rattus), came from the streets, and had fleas, then there would be cause for concern. Otherwise, why do people think that domesticated rats are horrible? They are a bit more intelligent than the dwarf hamsters I keep. I think the tail of the rat and its appearance is [sic] what scares people the most.

CLARIFICATION:
[sic] added, there is S-V agreement if inspected closely.

The mere fact that I could not help a friend makes me unhappy twice. One because they are not happy, and other for me failing to help them when I felt I should.

I've decided to try the recipe for Perfect Popcorn which is cooked on the stove. It didn't turn out to be so perfect. It was burnt on the bottom and I had to use an SOS pad to clean the bottom of the glass pot. I've missed the first quarter of the Grey Cup game.

My niece and nephew are ill. My niece has pneumonia and an ear infection, and my nephew has an ear infection also. My nephew's ear infection is so severe that his eardrum burst. The doctors are going to check him in a week to see if he suffered any hearing loss.
