Mine wast very long but it was weird
I was on a concrete pier and what do i see in the distance ,hundreds of flying lizards slightly bigger than humans seemingly invading the planet from above.i was kinda frozen simply observing them as they got closer and closer, landing in the water all around me ,i can still hear the flopping sound as they hit the water.
Thats about the time i woke up covered in sweat.
Its been many years but i still remember it vividly.

Lizard
To see a lizard in your dream signifies your primal instincts and reactions toward sex, food, etc. and your anxieties toward these feelings. The lizard may also be representative of a person who you view as cold-blooded, fearful, or thick-skinned. On a more positive note, the lizard also symbolizes emerging creativity, renewal, and revitalization. It may suggest that you are well-grounded. The fact that the lizards were flying indicates a sense of freedom or lack of limits.
Pier
To see or dream that you are on a pier represents self-reflection and introspective into your subconscious. You are ready to explore and grow as an individual. The dream signals emotional and spiritual growth.

Thanks for the reply,i really never gave it any thought but a lot of that does sound like me.i am often flying in my dreams as well.not necessarily like a bird but kind of.one "flap"of my arms and i take off and using my arms to control it ,kind of like a ski jumper would would use their arms to control rotation and such.

you are so lucky to be able to do that. I've tried and failed for decades to have any control over my dreams. it has to do with being unable to be hypnotized.

I dont know how much control i have over it.it seems to just kind of happen, there may be some control ,maybe its just instincts.I've always seemed to have good "animalistic "instincts.for example, running in the wood as a kid ,every step was calculated almost like every thing would slow down allowing me to see every step, every rock and logs,if they were loose or slippery and adjusted for such.
You seem to be very knowledgeable about dream interpretation.i always wondered if there was a meaning to any of it.

thank you :) I believe [amongst millions of others over the eons] that there is meaning to dreams. people from kings to paupers have parsed their dreams for clues to action or clues about action.

i dreamt i was in some poor neighborhood next to an army fort, looking down the street at a house hidden by a big bunch of shrubs and scrub, next to a warehouse. i was watching this group of thugs burgle this house, and that some poor army dude walked by and happened to witness this happening and they all jumped on him, and before anything else happened i crouched down low on my hands and knees and low-crawled out of their sight but they saw me anyways. i made my way to a big hilly grassy field and hid in the steep contours of one ridge while they walked high on the other side of it looking for me. then i made my way to a hotel where i entered a room only to meet some actress who didn't seem the least bit disturbed, it was as though she knew me. she disrobed and took off her corset and told me how uncomfortable it was and offered to let me try it on. i noted that although it was tight on her it was loose on me. she told me to put it on in the morning and it would be plenty tight. as we chatted she grew older somehow and her hair turned gray. then i awoke.

I dreamed that someone was trying to set fire to me.

They didn't succeed though.

Flame
To see a flame in your dream symbolizes purification. The dream may also be a metaphor for "flaming" or some heated online argument or personal attack. To dream that you are fighting flames implies that you will need to invest your best efforts and energy in your road to success and wealth.
Fire
Depending on the context of your dream, to see fire in your dream can symbolize destruction, passion, desire, illumination, purification, transformation, enlightenment, or anger. If you are not afraid of the fire and it is under control or contained in one area, then it is a symbol of your own internal fire and inner transformation. Something old is passing and something new is entering into your life. Your thoughts and views are changing. Alternatively, the dream may be warning you of some dangerous or risky activities. You are "playing with fire". To dream that you are being burned by fire indicates that your temper is getting out of control. Some issue or situation is burning you up inside. To dream that you can bend fire refers to your ability to control your anger. To dream that you put out a fire signifies that you will overcome your obstacles in your life through much work and effort.
Fire Extinguisher
To see or use a fire extinguisher in your dream suggests that you are trying to get your emotions under control. Alternatively, the dream means that you need to let go of whatever anger you are still holding on to.

^^Thanks auntblabby.^^

I don't think it's about having anger, but I did get a bit mad with the ATM this afternoon. It was only dispensing twenty pound notes and I wanted a tenner.

I counted Sonics and Zellies (The names of my two cats; "Sonic" is more spry and is black and white, while "Zellie" is old, brown, and very mellow.), which inexplicably segued into counting Reapettes (I've been playing Kid Icarus: Uprising lately, if you couldn't tell.). My body clock was ready, and I got up. Misty appeared, gave me a hug, and then handed me a "Simpsons" box with a clipboard inside. The paper said that I needed G-force in my face (Zero-gravity g's, silly. Not the guinea pig-frenzy movie.) to heal me. I thought to myself about how puzzling this sounded until I walked outside my neighborhood to see an undulating road with a scroll text reading "3D is bad for movies; keep your 3D on the handheld, not in the glasses!" Apparently the g's manipulated the road to create this physics trick. Suddenly, multicolored Pac-Men ran in the street (In place of cars) chomping plaid, tartan, rainbow, and differently colored ghosts. I ran back to bed after seeing all of this to go to sleep and count Mareep. I woke up again because the shiny Mareep I just counted materialized. This made me want to run the bassline.

Never encountered an ATM that gave you a choice. In the USA $20 bills are what you get-like it or not. But unlike human bank tellers they dispense money 24/7 so who cares?

Maybe its about some nice gentleman trying to...light a small flame in her heart?

Just a thought.
