1. After having to go back to the dps after some information needed to be verified, I was turned away due to the location being full.

2. On my way to pet sit, I saw a random Ninja Turtle (Raphael) plush tied to the back of a trailer that was parked on a street.

3. A random stray Husky came up to me earlier. Her name is now Faith.

The answer is #3. It seemed as if some people believed that "Bad Moon Rising" had the "bathroom" lyric in it----but I didn't notice it. I didn't notice the lyrics of that song at all, really. I sucked at noticing lyrics when I was a little kid.

I still can't get the "Woodstock" thing out of my mind when I listen to "Soul Man." I have to Google the lyrics.

"Blinded by the Light" came out when I was 16. I was able to understand lyrics better by that time.

I thought Blinded by the Light said "fed up with the douche..." which is even more unfortunate...

#2 for Fixit Man. Maybe another Ninja turtle?

I bet that’s a cute dog you adopted......

1. I’ve had to shovel 30 inches of snow in order to drive my car.

2. Superstorm Sandy, in 2012, caused flood damage in my apartment.

3. We escaped Hurricane Irene in 2011 because we went up to Ottawa, Canada. Upon returning, we saw much flooding in New Jersey.

2?

1. My first word was Turtle and I always wanted one, but my mother said I'd get salmonella.

2. I have a little, wooden bobble-head turtle on the dashboard of my car even though I haven't driven in three years.

3. I babysat a friend's turtle during Uni, and realized I wouldn't really want one as a pet.

I sense your Lie is #1.

You’re correct. We did not sustain any flood damage during Sandy.....but we had minor flooding from Irene.

Nope, my lie is 3.
Turtle was my first word (or so I've been told--it's all hearsay to me), and I did want one. I have a toy one in my car.
I never babysat one but as I grew old enough to see turtles in pet shops, I realized they would kind of creep me out
to touch.

I'm glad Sandy didn't blow you over.

There was inconvenience in the aftermath of Sandy—but it was relatively minor compared to many other people in the New York area.

1. I used to want to work in a gravel pit like Fred Flintstones.

2. I used to want to eat bronto burgers.

3. I thought Fred Flintstone’s method of driving was rather cool.

3, you thought it looked tiring!

1. The Flintstones reminded me of my parents. Gruff father, tiny mother who vacuumed too much and liked to spend money.

2. I patterned my early knowledge of inter-personal relationships and conflict resolution on Fred and Wilma.

3. My favourite episode was when they sang with the boy scouts in Shangri La Dee Da Valley.

Nope. It’s #1. I never wanted Fred’s job. I thought his method of driving was pretty cool. At least had control of the car.

Your lie is #1. Your father wasn’t a gruff man. You’ve always expressed your undying admiration for him.

That's funny about how he drove. It would be more exhausting than walking, since he had to propel a stone car around with him. LOL.

1 is true for me. My dad did remind me of Fred. Most people saw his gruff side because he was easily frustrated and stressed, but he had a heart of gold underneath like Fred's. He would do anything for his family just like Fred did for WIlma and Pebbles. Yes, he was a wonderful man. He was very much like Jackie Gleason's character in The Honeymooners, which was the inspiration for Fred.

2 is true

3 is my lie. My fave episodes are when Barney adopts Bam Bam (and tries to commit suicide with a boulder tied to his waist?!), and when Fred dreams about Pebbles and Bam Bam flying away on a mastodon to get married at the little church.

Did your father ever say “To the Moon!” to your mother? I don’t sense she was the Alice type.

My father was very much like Jackie Gleason's character Ralph Kramsden because they were both so vulnerable, sentimental and loving beneath their tough exterior. They even looked alike. My mother isn't much like Alice but I can see her personality in Wilma. Picture a blonde Wilma married to Ralph Kramsden. lol.

Songs my father loved:

1. Any song at all by Dolly Parton

2. Rasputin (Boney M)

3. Satisfaction (Stones)

#3?

I pictured your father as more the thin Mr Fixit Man type guy who wore spectacles lol. Rather, he was a big teddy bear type.

Oh he was the giant teddy bear type, for sure. He was big and strong (an engineer of all types, a builder, fixer, maker, designer, car racer, boat guy, fish guy, truck guy, cursing and swearing and partying guy) ... but he was also extremely introverted and shy. He barely spoke and his life was full of routine. Picture the heart of Jackie Gleason or John Candy but more introverted, sad and with undiagnosed autism.

He liked Dolly Parton's ... assets? But didn't like her singing at all. He couldn't stand her voice.

2 and 3 are true. We used to dance to Rasputin and Satisfaction ALL THE TIME when I was little.
He had them both on 8 Track in the house and in the car.
