That could be dangerous, and it does sound severe. I hope the condition improves and the eardrum gets repaired.

I was showing a piece of my special interest to my father, but he turned it into an excessively long discussion about connecting to people and opening up [sic] . Apparently, there is still some denial regarding my AS on his part.

ADDITION:
No matter how hard I force it to do so, my brain cannot seem to meet my general quota for oxytocin or it could be the neurophysin. Either way, it means I cannot easily switch between NT emulation and being a case of AS.

That happened to my son, IdahoRose. I hope they both get better, they sound really sick.

No, you're not Mick. You're very intelligent, I've been reading your comments for almost 2 years now, so I know. You just don't flaunt it or disguise what you have to say with a bunch of flowery words only siad to impress others. But you are without a doubt extremely insightful about many things. You're also a very kind, caring and compassionate person and one of the sweetest people I know.

Thank you Taupey. I was having a bit of a rough time yesterday afternoon when a younger member said something asinine about my post count and half of my posts do include Kinks related stuff due to the way that my AS presents itself in such a way that part of my personality is defined by my special interests. I'm not ashamed of that. I just feel sorry for a select few of the younger members who don't understand that and are annoyed by my aspieness. I am not just a dumb drummer and I am quite intelligent. I just don't like to show it off on WP which is supposed to be a support site and not a competition to see who's better than everybody else. I like to show people that I have a big heart. I guess that some of the more competitive members don't clue in that the ranking that I've chose for myself reflects my nature as it truly is and they don't take it seriously, because they think that I'm using it as a joke. They also don't know about The Kinks and the fact that Mick Avory was The Sensitive Kink during his 20 years with the band. When you add that up with the fact that those kids don't know me or the way that I grew up to be, (Just like the sensitive Mick Avory instead of a typical backstabbing young female) it's hard for them to take that seriously and they treat me like they would treat one of their own, with cold feelings and bluntness. You've helped to make me feel better about myself by saying what you just said, and I thank you for being such a Sweet Pea. You're one of the few rare members who has earned the Sweet Pea title from me.Image

It's great to hear this and I agree. Thank you Mick! :) ***Hugs Mick Back***

Try not to let people get to you, Mick. Anyone who acts immature and treats you unkindly is not worth your time or your concern. I don't know you very well, but judging from your posts I do believe you have a big heart, and would never intentionally hurt anyone, and the world needs more people like you.

I agree with Sparx, the world does need more people like Mick!
